Does anyone in this adventure lair play Halo because I fear I am the only 1??? :(

(BTW I hope this is an appropriate topic)

Mr Jake

I thought it was good.... then I relised that each level was the same block of 3 rooms repeated again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again etc.

Raider

Yeah well thats only for one level... and you can't dislike the game for one level.....or can you?
Halo 2 is gonna be the shiznah as well

- Raider

Mr Jake

no, thats EVERY level Ive played so far.

Im into comp fps rather then console. Sorry

Mr Jake

Halo is on PC.
Thats the version Im talking about.. FPS on consoles suck, 3rd person on consoles is decent.. so in summary

3rd person:
Console > PC

FPS:
PC > Console

Privateer Puddin'

Having played both max payne and the hitman games on both PC and Console, i disagree with this

Ishmael

I play Halo, and I like it. (Haven't played ANY FPS on a console...) I don't mind it repeating itself sometimes, the only place where I got a little bored (of repeating surroundings only) is on the Assault on the control room level... but the later cutscenes are great, the rainy island place with them nasty little popping crab thingys and zombies is creepy...
I used to make games but then I took an IRC in the knee.

<Calin> Ishmael looks awesome all the time

Halo was the first FPS (single player) I have seriously played since Quake 2 came out ... my roomates and I (where I used to live in Michigan) used to play Unreal tournament a lot.

I just stopped liking them 'cause they all seemed (basically) like the same thing just repeating over and over.

But I sat down a few months back (on my brother's computer) and clikced the Halo icon.  6 hours later I was still playing.  It's a very involving game.  I would say that it's probably one of my favorite games of all time.

The story isn't unique or anything, but the environment just fascinated me.  I loved the idea of the ring in space like that.  If an FPS can hold my attention that long, then it's good (for me).  Because usually I sit down, start playing, get bored two minutes into it, and never play it again.

Halo was an exception.

I'm hoping they don't f--k up the sequel!

BerserkerTails

My best friend and I sat down and played through it in Co-op on Normal difficulty, then again on Legendary Difficulty. The repetitiveness I could overlook while playing co-op, but I can't see myself liking the game in straight 1 player mode.
I make music.

I'm getting an xbox soon. reason: http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/c/7/fc73199f-3574-4705-a2ed-e101e6cbd2c2/xna_demo2_crash.zip

My computer can't take this. Finally something with a somewhat realistic damage modelling.

To the topic though. I've played the PC version of Halo, it ran crappily, but the game was nice and all. Very repetitive, not nearly enoguh weapons, 7 different enemies :P

I hope Halo 2 is better.

Mr Jake

heh, the most annoying level so far which made me say 'oh sod this, I cant handle playing this same room again' was in the Flood Level, where you head to the top to get the index.

I don't think they're going to make a shoddy sequel. They passed the original release date by far, they're not going to rush it. I think that means they're trying really hard to make it a worthy and better game than Halo 1.

I've heard you are going to be able to control entire Halos at parts and battle other space stations.
Once I killed a man. His name was Mario, I think. His brother Luigi was upset at first, but adamant to continue on the adventure that they started together.

Chicky

bah, halo?

Never heard of it, i didnt beat in on legendary either and get the extra 5 seconds of ending footage.

Mr Jake

FIVE SECONDS !!!111

I can imagine a cross between Halo2 and UT2k4 the sound fx for 'CAR JACKED' playing everytime you get control of a Halo :D

Chicky

Ohh and halo2, not looking forward to it atall. Neither do i have a $40 put away just for its release.

I've played Halo, on easy mode though! Strangely though, I rather liked it, and I don't really like FPS. A couple of levels were a bit repetive, but I suspect they'd be a bit more interesting on a higher difficulty level. I liked the story (sparse though it was), and I really liked the setting. And let's face it, the Master Chief is cool!Ã,  8)

I have seen the extra few seconds of the ending. When my brother completed it on legendary.Ã,  ;D

I'm looking forward to the sequel too. I guess sometimes I do just like to blow stuff up.Ã,  ;)

I bought Halo for the Xbox a couple of months ago, and loved it at first. I thought it had amazing graphics and was a lot of fun because you had your marines backing you up once in awhile.

But after i don't know many levels later, i was getting my butt kicked by the aliens and then decided to not play it for awhile.

But Halo, i admit was alot of fun and now i'm thinking about playing it again.Ã,  Driving the Warthog while one of the marines was using the gun turret was alot of fun.Ã,  Plus, i heard Multiplayer was a blast.Ã,  But i couldn't get my cat interested in playing with me.Ã,  :)

Master Chief is one cool dude though.
