I like it, you got the glow just right.

What software did you use?

You did it frame by frame then? That's even more impressive - it must have taken you a while.

heh, it wasn't that bad, I quite enjoyed doing it... well maybe not enjoy, but didn't mind doing it as it was easy, just time consuming but worth the effort because it looks so kewl!

Anywho, I'm gonna make a few more at some point, maybe film me and a friend and make a battle scene and add some SFX

Looks pretty good :)

Using photoshop+premiere possibly isn't the most efficient/fastest way of doing lightsabers, so here's some advice if you want to make 'em look even better.

First of all, you really should give Adobe After Effects a try if it's possible. Or if you want to continue photoshopping lightsabers, you should anyway check this out:

There are two video tutorials (quicktime): one for photoshop and one for after effects. With that technique, they really look a lot like the ones in the movies.

Keep up the good work!

After effects automatically fills the frames between the keyframes you se manually. And in after effects all you really have to do is move the corner points of the lightsaber core to animate it... I don't know how you exactly make them with photoshop but if you just draw the core then it probably would be easier to do in after effects. On the other hand it's just another program which you'd have to learn how use (I assume you haven't used it before...?) but making lightsabers could be a lot easier once you've learned how to use it.

I don't have a lot experience with premiere so I'll just give you this link, if you haven't already found it (lightsaber tutorial for premiere): http://www.theforce.net/theater/software/premiere/rotoscoping/rotoscoping_finley.shtml
I hope it helps..
