Hey,
I won't be playing much now that i've got exams underway, but does anyone on the Forums play? I'd love to meet up with them and trade info. So far, I'm pretty much a nOOb to Calypso, and i'm still stuck in that Forest Sort of place... not to mention the fatc that i've got my ass kicked by other players about 6 out of the 7 times i've played Entropia so far.

I played it when it hadn't been going too long, it was ok.. probably better now though

was lucky to make a good friend in it that had a lot of money ;)

Mr Jake

Never heard of it, care to provide a link?

PsychicHeart

it's really good. it is a pretty big download (the only bad thing) but the walkable game space rivals GTA:SA, yes you read right. IT RIVALS GTA:SA IN WALKABLE GAME SPACE! Anyhoo, here is a link if you want to get started.

Cheers,
Blake

PS: If you have ever played The Matrix Online (or MxO as it has been dubbed) this game is really similar.

PPS: For all of you who are short on cash and live in US, then Projet Entropia could be an answer. If you get employed by someone in the virtual universe, you can convert the money you make in the game into REAL US DOLLARS! Similarily, if you are short on cash in the game, you can convert US Dollars into Project Entropia Dollars (PEDs).

I'll stay true to the pure, not so multi-player RPGs :)

Now, with his very own game: Alien Time Zone

Mr Jake

MxO gets kind of boring after 2 weeks tho.... Even on PvP servers (on which I totally kicked ass - btw)

Project Entropia.. isnt that the game where some dude bought an in-game island for $25000?
By the time you read this you've already read it.

Mr Jake

I think so. Thats the story that came to my mind when I saw it also.

Im downloading it now.

yeah, you're right, he bought the ingame island for real money. It was in the news and that as i reacall. Even now, about a year later, it is a good holiday spot for players of Entropia. He sort of is getting the money back because he rents it, sells revenue etc.

nah you just got to get out of that foresty sort of area. Once your out,Ã,  you can start going to bars, building a house and all that. Not to mention, it takes a while to learn all the controls and that. And surely, you must've enjoyed creating your character.Ã,  ;)

Edit: If you're about to download it and not sure, go to the Gallery on the website and it'll probally change your mind.

I think it the interface attempts to be different and new... and it does that... poorly.

Im in the airport, the interactions and controls are terrible and it doesn't detect my sound drivers either so I have no sound.

Give it a second try, Hotspot, it's certainly not a terrible game. It takes a good while to learn, and the best way might be to get a mentor (given that there still are mentors in the game). It's extremely complexed, and the controls are far from obvious.
I played it for some months a few years ago, before I decided to stop playing computer games in general.

I've never ever heard of this but I'm now downloading and am going to test this.
