REALLY amazing!  When he stepped out on to that ledge my stomach dropped a bit!  Holy spit-balls!!  The guy didn't even hesitate, he just stepped off into... nothing!  Very cool.

I really wish more people/companies would do adventurous projects like this!  It could really help spark people's interest in space (again) and get us away from stagnating on Earth and out into the stars where we belong!

when they were going through the checklist my tension was the greates. Somehow I expected the last point on the checklist to be: take a sip from one of the drinks of our sponsor, but gladly it wasn't.
yay, felix, you rock :D

Yeah, but did you see him on his way up there? He was bricking it, man! It was a great accomplishment for him, that's for sure.

Although... Because Youtube is so fail, it kept buffering and crap which, to me, was a bit of an anti-climax. Sure we can go back and watch it without trouble, but I wanted a smooth stream. Was a bit disappointed.

The only attempt he didn't break was the free-fall record, which imo he pulled the cord of the parachute too early on purpose to leave the record for the other dude out of courtesy, tbh.

My only regret is that if anyone asks in the future, "What was it like watching it live???", I'll reply: "Bufferish".

Good though.

Luckily I was able to watch it on cable TV (Servus TV), so no streaming problems here.

Now, will they drop astronauts from ISS like that?

What a hero!
This guy is a dude.  I made my sister and her 2-year-old daughter watch it with me.  I doubt she'll remember it, though.
My feed also froze and buffered a few times which made me feel that I wasn't watching it 'live' and took some of the magic away, but I'm still glad to have seen it.  Onker, I like your theory that he deliberately left the longest freefall record for someone else.  It gives people a reason to try again soon, and not wait another 50 years.

Watching him do interviews is like being at a Mittens and hearing someone like Andail speaking to you. It's nostalgic! Also, I'm sure I heard one of the live feeds say his name as "Butt cracker" or similar. Anyway, impressive jump, that shot of him going over the edge got my vertigo going :D

Watching Felix jump resulted in me having a pretty weird dream, it wasn't scary so to speak, but i was constantly stuck in that moment when you've committed to the jump but haven't quite started falling. So it was a night of vertigo, which sure beats dreaming about hot girls avoiding my penis :D
