Yai, I found a reason to have some silly-movie-trivia-fun.

From IMDB:
QuoteCelebrated directors Sofia Coppola and Quentin Tarantino have sparked reports they're dating, following a series of intimate meetings in New York. The maverick movie-makers stunned diners at Manhattan's plush Downtown Cipriani restaurant on Friday, when the unlikely pair sat down together for a romantic meal. Coppola and Tarantino fueled speculation they were an item on Sunday when they were spotted strolling the streets of New York with their arms wrapped around each other, according to the Pagesix website. Lost In Translation director Coppola - who has been single since her split with husband Spike Jonze last year - later visited a video shop with Tarantino, they rented some movies and left looking "very cozy". However, a representative for the directors has downplayed reports of a romance, insisting the pair are just "good friends".

What movies do you think they rented?  :)

..

They probably just said that to disguise the fact that Tarentino was making her jump around with a samauri sword.

Oooh, it could have been a dirty movie! That is so scandalous! I'm going to call all of my friends and talk about it, and I'll get back to you later.
Once I killed a man. His name was Mario, I think. His brother Luigi was upset at first, but adamant to continue on the adventure that they started together.

Apparently, none of them care either.

‘Kill Bill Vol. 1' and ‘Lost in Translation', which they watched with the sound down so they could do their own, bitter, tequila-fuelled Directors Commentary.

Well, that's what I'd do .....
I know what you're thinking ... Don't think that.

I have the impression you misunderstood my motives. I don't care about it the who-did-Beckham-sleep-with way. I just think it is interesting to think what sort of movie can fit them both. Thus, it is much more about "silly-movie-trivia-fun" than gossip.

Darth on the Lamb ...

QT - We should rent Gladiator!
SC - Nah, I was thinking we should rent Whale Rider!
QT - Are you fuh ... are you kidding me?  Did you see a sign on my front lawn that said, "Shitty movie lover"?
SC - You know I didn't see a sign like that ...
QT - You know why you didn't see a sign that said, "Shitty movie lover" on my front lawn?
SC - Why ... ?
QT - Because loving shitty movies isn't what I fucking do!!!

Ooooohh the humanity!

I think they ended up compromising on Babe: Pig in the City.

Indeed. It just seemed a lot more like gossip.

I've unearthed the truth.. :O

Shbazjinkins has super powers!!!

He managed to post that post saying he would ask his friends then posted there replies just 1 min later!

I mean even a conversationg like:

Shbaz: Oooohh.. What movie do you think QT and Sofi would rent if they went out
Friend: I don't care.

And then times at least two would be more than a min right! :'(

There is some stragne conspiracy going on here... :O

....

Can't everybody shut up except for Darth and that Ashen guy, the only ones actually adding humour to this thread?

Ashen

So, then they rent 'Reservoir Dogs' and 'The Virgin Suicides', which they watch with the sound down.....

Yes, only my second post and I'm already repeating myself. Sorry.

How about:

"And half way through 'Pig In The City', they start arguing over who would've been a better Farmer Hoggit, Harvey Keitel or James Woods."

No-one? Ah, well.
I know what you're thinking ... Don't think that.

Most of my friends live in my hall, so I only had to yell out the door. Predicting their response in advance, I began to type. Upon hearing the expected answer, I pressed the post button.

.. maybe.

Or, the much more obvious answer: Shbazjinkens has no friends.

I personally think they'd watch something by the Cohen brothers.  Why? Because the Cohens have a definite sense of style to their movies, along with humour and intellectual stimulation.  From what I know of Tarrantino and Sofia Coppola movies, these are important aspects in movies that they make, so I'd have to assume it's something they'd like to watch.

Either that or they'd be sick to death of style, humour and intellect and rent Eight Legged Freaks.

They rented Blackbelt Jones, trust me.
"I drink a thousand shipwrecks.'"

Timosity

They rented "The Outsiders" & "Rumble Fish" as Sofi's dad never let her watch his creations (well Susan Eloise Hinton did write the books)
