Title: Question about posting images
Post by: boojiboy on Fri 01/12/2006 08:06:18
Ok I know this isn't regarding AGS but I couldn't figure out where else to post it and I couldn't find another thread explaining this.
How do I post an image that has a transparent background and actually HAVE it have a transparent background instead of a white one?

Here's how I do it in PaintShopPro7:

draw pic, decrease color depth to 256, select transparent-to-be color as background color, menu: Colors -> Set Palette Transparency.. -> Set the transparency value to the current background color -> OK, save as .gif

(you should've asked this in the general forum, but don't open another thread there, a mod will probably soon move this one there)

You can also just cut out the white part and save it as png but this doesn't always work that well.
