Title: Quick, vote Grim, again! (For an Extra Life!)
Post by: Meowster on Sat 20/03/2004 06:28:26
All is not lost! The fight goes on! You have a chance to redeem yourself with the extra-life (http://www.gamespy.com/titlefight/matches/xl6.shtml) that brought Grim down in the first place!

That's right! By clicking the cleverly hyperlinked "extra life" on the first paragraph, you'll be transported to STRAIGHT TO THE VOTING PAGE! Like MAGIC!

We could still win! Batman may not have been lying! Skinkie may yet keep his head!

And this time, when I say vote 500 times each, I really mean it.

Alternately, go straight here http://www.gamespy.com/titlefight/matches/xl6.shtml and avoid having Double Fine ruined for everyone. by overzealous fanboyism.

heh, cause it has a chance in the slightest

and is it impossible for people to not post a NEW thread about grim fandango when we have so many open already?

Well I did consider it, briefly, but I wanted to cause as much hype and controversy as possible. I'm consider renaming the through to "Quick! Vote Grim! And Michael Jackson sleeps with Little Boys!" or something.

Grim doesn't really have the slightest chance of winning unless it's the top four with the most votes.

But, still.

I used to like all Schaefers games.

Then something happened, now I hate them.

Really? What happened that caused you to dislike Schafer's games?

I replayed and noticed characters like Lupe and Laverne that had an exhuberence that was devoid of the charisma or any genuinely likability that would make that persona successful, or would make me want to like them.

At the time that didn't matter, but these days it strikes closer to home.

Additionally, these characters had no capacity to understand the subtext of phrases.

Hahahaha
CS is way ahead of grim.
This proves that gamers nowadays are nothing but a bunch of halfwits.

I'm sorry to break this to you, Farlander, but if you vote for TIE Fighter you will most definitely die.

I recommend Grim.

Voting for Grim is quick and easy, plus there's no posts on the forums saying "Vote TIE!" or "Vote Fallout!" so just vote Grim ffs!

I agree with Narangas.

I used to like Shafter's games.

But now I think they're over-rated.

Don't know what could have caused that.

I agree with Narangas.

Why do you call him "Narangas", is it some kind of in-joke? I wanna laugh... Actually, the "Narangas" words sound very funny, but it doesn't mean anything, at least in Spanish...

And... If it is not an In-joke... that would mean that one of the oldests members has been confusing the name of one of the other oldest members... Hilarious!

Las Naranjas means "The oranjes" if anyone wants to know it...

No, it is an in-joke.

And the joke is this: "I'm a CUNNING LINGUIST!"

And the only people who'll get it are Narangas and me.

So there!

Ohhh... so, no laugh for me... well, hope to have better luck next time... :D

P.S: I was going to edit my post to explain that I don't consider DG as a "moron member who confuses letters when reads"... It is me who does it!

But I'm happy to see that you've took it in the humourous way, thanks.  :)

Grim Fandango? I didn't like Grim fandango.
But if there was at least one more LucasArts game to choose from, It'll get my vote.
No! No stupid 3D! No ugly polygons! No blurry textures! No akward keyboard controls!
Fact that Grim Fandango had only 3D characters won't make it still better.

** InCreator considers making an Anti-3D thread in General discussion forum **
** InCreator sighs **

Is the subtext that the criticisms you place upon Schafer's characters apply just as much to Yufster or that they apply just as much to you?  Indeed, do they apply to the entire AGS community?

Elaborate, do.

Oranges initially come from the subcontinent.

In Sanskrit Orange is "Naranga".

When it came to Europe it became Naranja is Italian with a similar prnounciation, and Naranja in Spanish with the j pronounced Spanish style.

In french it initially became Orenge [i.e or-enge-a] and became confused with the town name Orange, and was brought to English.

The point being that DG knows this, and thus, displaying knowledge of philology and etymology, he is a cunning linguist.

Sponge - take the most amusing option.
