Randy Pausch is a co-founder of the Entertainment Technology dept at Carnegie Mellon University. He has cancer and has been given several months to live. His farwell lecture is here on Google Video (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5700431505846055184&q=randy+pauschotal=19&start=10&num=10&so=0ype=search&plindex=6). It's very inspirational and upbeat about life.
It is Rick.
I just finished watching it. Indeed it was very inspirational, but I do have to comment that the title "Dying 47-year old..." got on my nerves in the end. The lecture was great, very well talk, and Randy, is obviously a very talented salesman, as himself said. Still he specifically did not want to focus on his cancer so I feel that people uploading and the whole lectured turned into something a bit else than he wanted... :-\
Still a great lecture!
Well, I was bored so I started watching this, you know, just for the heck of it. But then I couldn't stop. It was so interesting and entertaining and so touching at the end. A great lecture indeed. Thanks for sharing it.
