So, the 4th OROW thread has been accidently deleted, taking with it the records of who did which game, and the games themselves have no author info (obviously!), and this game hasn't been re-released as some (viz, The Heist) were... so I have no idea who made this game (probably not Helm, would be too obvious), and have to ask this here and hope the author sees it.
Simple question - did you (the author) use my SQ2/AGI template? :) Just curious. It's uncredited, so I would assume not, but this game uses a beautifully emulated AGI system - which reminds me of mine own. Also, the "About" screen (or is it the "Help" screen?) has a screenie of a SQ2 list of commands...
I'm just curious about whether someone has used a template of mine... or has replicated the AGI system him/herself, in which case I'd really love to see THAT one templatized, since my templates are not exactly user-friendly.
The game was by Grundislav, and he used the AGI stuff AGA did for a previous OROW game "The Lion's Den". I don't think it's been released as a template.
It was Grundislav. He used *a* template, I dunno which. It probably went uncredited because OROWCs are by their definition uncredited.
I also made an AGI system, but I never released a template for it. I used it in 'The Lion's Den', in the first or second OROCW, can't remember which. By coincidence, I also used SQ2 as the basis for my AGI system, but I didn't leave any sign of its roots like you did in your template :)
EDIT: ignore scotch, he was just assuming! It definitely didn't use my system, I checked with Grundislav :P
Well you did give him the source to it, or I did! I guess it was too hardcore for him.
I'd be really interested to check out your source, AGA. If you don't want to release a template (I guess if you wanted to, you would have already), any chance of me havin' a looksie? ::)
I didn't release the template because it's not particularly easy to understand, and uses a massive number of conditionals. I'll upload it soon and PM you a link though.
I did use the SQ2 template...so...yeah!

Why isn't a thread posted in the Comp board with the link Ish posted? At least it would be more intuitive...
If i remember correctly, it was accidentally deleted.
Sure, the very first words on this thread state this. :) And BECAUSE of that, posting a thread in the comp board with the first post linking to the page Ish linked us to would make it much easier to find in the future.
Uh yes, i read your previous post wrong and i was just trying to clarify. Ignore me :P
Helm is a legend! we need a respect helm thread
Alright, using that archived thread I restored the first post (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=27650.0) in the competition forum, so at least it will come up using the forum feature.
