403 Errors?!

Okay, I turned the PC on today (chortle) and then connected to the internet, but for some reason I keep getting problems accessing websites. Earlier this one wouldn't work but I could visit Adventure Developers but now this one works and I can't visit AD, Adventure Gamers didnt work but does now but some others sites don't now - and it's all because I keep getting that 403 Unauthorized Error.  >:(

Anyone know how to sort this out? Because I know i'm perfectly authorized but someone pointed out it was probably a problem with the "router" (whatever that is). But, it keeps shifting which sites I can and cannot go to.

This guy said just wait a day or two and it should be sorted. Is this the case? Or is there a way in registry editor to sort it out or through Internet settings? It's really annoying me. Everything worked fine the last time I came online (Last night, I think).

"You might not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied."

What credentials? Shutup Microsoft you pricks. Just speak English.

And, can anyone see my avatar or no? I sure can't   :-[

Any suggestions? They'd be much appreciated.

I can see your avatar!

I found this:
QuoteIf you're getting a "Forbidden 403" error when you try to register: Some versions of the AOL browser have a problem with the secure server so AOL users will sometimes get a 403 - Forbidden error when trying to register. I'm afraid we don't know how to fix it at this time. We believe it is related to security so perhaps changing a security setting in your AOL browser will correct the problem. If an AOL user knows how to do this we would really appreciate it if you could drop us a line giving us details so that we can let others know.   :)   In the meantime there are a couple of suggestions below.

Even though you might not be using AOL:
IE: Tools>Internet Options then mess about with the Security and Privacy tabs i guess...

Quotewas probably a problem with the "router"

If you don't know what one is...then I doubt that is the problem. They usually cost enough to remember what they are.

I would assume something was installed or modified (looking at porn sites? :-*). The dude is right about checking your internet settings. Give us some details about how you connect to the internet and what you use, etc.

I am assuming you have rebooted...right? :P

In IE I would check both your privacy and security (and content) settings. Set them to whatever their default settings are(medium?).

good luck,

mods, i can see your avatar.

i installed a 37 GB hard drive into my computer, replacing the 4 GB hard drive i had before, and doesn't it seem computers can be a pain in the butt. One minute they work fine, the next they don't. Also, i brought my modem back from the dead too.

I have never seen the 403 error, but have plenty of others.

(i know this won't help, but needed to post anyways)
