Post by: Obi on Sat 25/06/2005 20:39:14
Since all those crazy kids with those yo-yo things have been talking about San Andreas, I decided to make some crudely made machinima (think crazy mind bending robots) and then so it happend... What I mean to say is http://www.laserfrog.co.uk/sanbond.mpg

I'm also playing San Andreas now, but for some damn reason, the sound wont work half of the time. The radio-stations in the cars work, but not the sound effects.Ã,  :(

Yeap, I was stuck on the beginning of "circle the airport" for several days...Ã,  until I realised that I needed to retract the landing gear :P

After that, it was a proverbial piece of cake.

As for that video, it's quite cool. In fact, I went right ahead and GGC'D (http://www.ggcmedia.com/) it. (Permanent link (http://www.ggcmedia.com/index.php?display=200506260740))

Hey sedriss, your sound problem has something to do with EAX.

To fix it, the easiest solution is to go to Start > Run > dxdiag
In the sound tab, turn down the hardware accleration one notch. That worked for me. You will hear many more sounds and the conversations in the car will be louder and audible.

Hope that works.

Oh yes, Obi.. Nice vid. It seems like you could work on your camerawork. Other than that, pretty neat. I like base jumping.

I love that ska version. I have a ton of their stuff but I still don't know what the band name is! :-p

I'm playing S.A too, I'm half way trough the game and the missions are getting pretty tough and rough. But I love the game, the city is just huge and there is so much to do/you can do besides the missions. Great RPG

EDIT: Oh Yeah, I forgot what this thread is about, the video was very good. Made me laugh
