Where can I get FREE screen capture software that is capable of capturing DirectX screens (Worms2, Monkey island3...)?

I wanted to ask something like this as well. How does one take screenshots from a video file? I tried PrintScreening in Media player, but that does not work.

I think PrintScreen works only if you disable hardware acceleration in Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced (I have the german version, so the names could be wrong).

Fraps should work with videos too, though.

I always load up video files in VirtualDub and copy the frame to the clipboard there.
