Title: Screen recorder?
Post by: Nacho on Wed 21/01/2004 13:08:59
Hello... I just wandering if there is some free screen recorder available to download for free. What I exactly mean is that program in which you click on "rec" and everything you see in your monitor is recorded. I´ve seen some, but there are trial versions and I can´t use them because they´re intentionally blured(I want to create an avi from a WWII fighters game to use it as a cutscene in a game).

And, ah... Camtasia does not work for me as I own Win98, and it needs 2000 or XP...

Haven't tried it, tho'...

-EDIT-

Okay, now I've tried it.... works quite nicely. You have to register it, but it's free ;)

I suggest using SnagIt. Its what I use and it works really well. It's not free, but you can download it off of some p2p program, like KaZaA (http://www.kazaa.com), or eMule (http://www.emule-project.net/) for free. It can capture the whole screen, text, just a specific area of the screen, or capture things off of websites like pictures, videos, sounds, etc. at the EXACT quality and resolution it was origionally.
