What's the last film you saw, what's the best film you saw? what's the biggest lump of cow crap you ever saw (not literally) whether on DVD or in the Cinema It doesn't matter, nor whether it was worth watching or not, I'm just really bored. ;)
Last Film I saw: "Hellboy Director's Cut" on DVD (Watched half of "Chaplin" last night, but not counting it as I haven't finished it yet), that was on Friday.
Best Film I've seen: Hard to say. Probably "Forrest Gump" or "The Princess Bride"
Biggest Lump of Cow Crap I've ever seen: Must mention all of them. "Battlefield Earth", "Species", "The Cat in the Hat", "Wicked Stepmother", and the latest addition "Alone in the Dark" (Though that last movie was great entertainment, it was a terrible movie.)
the last film i saw was the bourne identity. not half bad actually. would quite like to see the next one.
Biggest load of cow crap? Unfortunate events. The books were great and the film failed to cpature them. if not for an exeptionally well written sunny, i would have left.
"Hide and Seek" with Robert DeNiro and Daktoa Fanning: Most cliched pile of crap I've seen in a theater. Don't waste your money. The ending makes you want to rip off the director's head.
Biggest load of crap? "House of the Dead" of course.
last film Meet the fockers
best film Monty Python's Meaning Of Life
the most crap film Harry Potter The Philosopher's stone
I dunno if it would be considered a 'film', but it is the last DVD/movie I can recall watching. Mr. Show season 4. I-laughed-a-lot-a-mous.
Biggest load of crap? Don't know... From Dusk 'til Dawn Sequels pop into my head.
SpongeBob! I've never laughed so much in a film before... Maybe that humour fits me. Spongehumour.
The last movie I saw was Zepherelli's Romeo and Juliet. Last movie I saw in a theatre was The Incredibles.
But I honestly can't tell you which film I've seen was the "best." The Princess Bride is my favourite movie of all time- it's one of the first movies I can even remember seeing. However, the production values are bad to terrible- the music sounds like midi, except for the occasional bit of guitar, the sword fighting is terrible, and everything looks blatantly artificial. But I still love it.
The best for production would have to be Citizen Kane. There's only one shot in the whole thing that Isn't gorgeous- a cockatoo suddenly appears in the middle of the shot, screams, and disapears. But the acting, the music, the costumes, the sets- everything else is great.
Worst movie I've ever seen is Battleship Potempkin. Ten minutes of action stretched out over an hour, useless shots stacked upon useless shots, and though the story is very historically significant, it's told in the most boring manner possible. Bleah.
Zooty, don't watch The Bourne Sumpremacy. Please. Don't. It's slaughter of the marvellous Bourne Identity, and it's the director's falut. He tried to do what the director of Man on Fire did, and failed miserably. Incidently, do watch Man on Fire.
The car scene and some of the action pieces were decent enough, but mostly the film was pointless and ultimately only helped to tarnish the ending of the original movie by
Spoiler
killing off Marie.
Not that it's much of a spoiler since it happens at the beginning.
Esseb, that car scene was boring and about 15 minutes long, and unwatchable because of how the camera shaked. I completely switched off at the start of it and switch back on once it was over.
Certainly it drags, but it's far better than the fight with the other remaining assassin where the camera zooms in so far you have no clue what's going on. Almost feels like watching the Pan & Scan version.
Is it better? I don't know, I was asthesiated (sp?) at that point.
Ugh. The Bourne Supremacy was crap. I'll never understand what it was about it that people liked.
I didn't think Bourne Identity was that great either, but it at least had Marie in it O_O
Hmm, I liked the Bourne Supremacy. At least, I liked it to the same level I liked the first. Both have too much feeling of the director tugging your sleeve and whispering, "Isn't this so cool?" The camera shakiness in Supremacy didn't bother me a bit, I found it a touch more immersive for the dramatic moments than a distant steady camera would've been. If for no other reason, I enjoyed Supremacy because they killed off Marie. Granted, I'll probably never watch either film again.
Man on Fire, now that movie kicks much ass. That means a bit since I've gotten quite tired of Denzel.
Yes. Man on Fire was nice. I should watch that again.
I'm not sure what the last movie I watched was, nor the last I saw in a theatre (don't feel like thinking right now), but the absolute WORST one I ever saw was "The Attack of the Rabid Grannies". I wanted to love it, but really couldn't. Of course, it's been YEARS since I saw it, so my opinions may change if I see it again.
I felt that way about Cheerleader Ninjas. From the cover, it had some potential to be a good parody/b-flick but they avoided any type of subtlety and used every crappy stereotype imaginable. Very nearly unwatchable.
A Lord of the Rings parody would have some potential, one would think. However, a straight-to-video movie entitled Lord of the Strings (packaging actually disagrees with the movie. The movie calls itself Lord of the Gstrings) was an utter POS. It was pretty much an excuse to make a lesbian softporn. The only thing mildly amusing was an alcoholic version of Gandalf called Smirnov - and- I swear, that's the funniest bit . . . just sad.
It makes me want to watch Eight-Legged Freaks again, a b-movie parody done well despite (or maybe because of) using David Arquette. The Lost Skeleton of Cadavera was a nice b-flick parody but it tends to drag a bit too much to watch repeatedly.
The last film I saw was Meet The Fockers... didn't really care for it too much. I didn't even really think Meet The Parents was that funny, either. I mean, what are the odds that your parents would name you Gay (short for Gaylord), if your last name was Focker? Then again, what are the odds that someone out there actually has the last name Focker? I kinda thought it was dumb... I guess I would also call that the biggest pile of crap I've seen in a while.
Let's see... I saw Shaun Of The Dead finally. I was fairly pleased with it. It made me laugh occasionally, and I loved the zombies in the movie as well.
I also saw The Bourne Supremacy. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. The action sequences were great, and I might watch it again. I wonder though... what are they going to do for the third movie? From what I understand, there's supposed to be a Bourne Trilogy, or something.
I just watched John Malkovich's 'The Dancer Upstairs', which was a mild let-down. The last film I saw in the cinema was 'Million Dollar Baby', by Clint Eastwood. To me, it failed to live up to the arthouse hype.
According to MovieLens (http://movielens.umn.edu/), the worst film I've watched is 'Fear.Dot.Com', and the best might be 'Miller's Crossing'. Or 'Seven Samurai'. Or 'Airplane!'. Or something else, I don't know.
Last movie I saw....Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust, not bad..the dub did not cause my head to implode so it was withstandable.
other than that..the worst movie I have ever laid witness to...there are a few
1. Garden State- let's make this unbelievably drawn out movie about.....nothing! and label it art, for it means something that doesn't really exist except in our thoughts which don't exist or something like that (god I sound like "them"!).....stupid artsy flicks....get to the point
2. Monsturd-speaks for itself
3. Texas Chainsaw Massacred:the new breed (or something like that) :was by far the most hilarious movie I have ever seen in my entire life...it was so bad it was vomit inducing!
Last film i saw was... Waxwork
Worst film ive ever seen was Waxwork
Best film i've ever seen... thats a hard one. Many great film. But... I'd have to say The Crow.
