My mom and I usually have lunch once a week, and yesterday we had what I can only call a “Seinfeld moment.”

She was eating an omelette, and was down to her last piece when she said “This is the worst omelette I've ever had.”

“Really?” I replied. “It can't be so bad.  Let me try it.”

“It's my last piece!” she cried indignantly, “You want to take my last piece?”

“I thought you said you didn't like it.”

Awkward silence.  She speared the offending omelette with a fork, put it in her mouth, and ate it.

“It's really horrible,” she mumbled, chewing thoughtfully.

Just thought I'd share.  Does anybody else have moments like these?

Can't say I've ever had one. But that one was pretty hilarious... I can just picture that conversation between Kramer and Elaine (not the adventure game character)...

But there was that time when me and some friends cracked up whenever we heard the word "sophisticated". That was odd. And we couldn't concentrate and didn't get anything done for about an hour.
Now let's find out if gasoline is flammable!

this does ring strongly of Elaine

Me and a friend of mine once started arguing about which tastes better when you're thirsty, milk or water. We decided that there are different kinds of thirst, say if you've been exercising and are really thirsty you maybe don't want to drink milk, but water instead. But then we thought maybe this differs from person to person, some are milk-thirsty, and others are water-thirsty.

It felt a lot like we were George and Jerry.

Defintiely had a LOT of moments like this, and I always think of Seinfeld afterwards.

Can't think of any off-hand though @_@ That's the problem with moments like these, they aren't terrible memorable.

My best friend and I used to have nicknames for all these people like on Seinfeld (for example "the soup nazi".   Like, this guy that always ratted on people in the dorms... he was justice man.  There was this girl who was really nasty and we called her pickle (you don't want to know).  Another girl was Blinky (again, you don't want to know) lets see... there was Wrangler Man, Fart Man, The Blair Witch, Super Dumper, Spiderman, The Chair Man, Shadow, Cho mo... none of these people knew we called them that.   It was pretty funny at the time....
The hardest thing in this world... is to live in it. (Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy Summers in "The Gift")

I've never really had any real Seinfeld moments, but if you've ever seen the BBC comedy "Coupling", there was this one time my friend and I got caught in the giggle loop. It was horrible. And hilarious.
I make music.
