Title: Should I update my game?
Post by: tr9000 on Fri 02/11/2007 14:42:16
I created the game "Halloween Horror" last year for MAGS, it has some glitches and stuff but what do you think of it? Should I create a new delux version of it, or just fix up the mistakes that were in it. If I make a delux version there would be more puzzles more rooms and more people that needs to be saved, If you think I should make a Delux version what should be changed from the original? If you haven't played, the link to the game's description is here:

I'm not asking you to Critique my game, so this thread doesn't belong in the Critics Lounge.

Um, I think this is the sort of decision that is completely up to you. If you want to do this (and apparently you do, otherwise you wouldn't have started this thread) then go for it. If you don't want to then don't.

Since you mention glitches the real question would be if you'd better make a clean, patched version but keep the content the same, or update the content too. Now, adding content means that there's a chance to add new glitches. The easy way would be just to make a clean version, the fun way would be to add to it. And as pablo said, that's basically your choice.

But personally speaking, you got a nice (though slightly buggy) game here. I'd say that fixing the glitches would be enough.
