Hello.

How am I you ask? not good, not good. You see, I have a problem with my computer. Some programs insist, that they want to change their screen resolution and minimize, maximize, run in a window and so, every second. And it's only some programs, like Virtual DJ and Soldat. They didn't do it before. I tried regclean and spybot to clean unwanted programs that might be doing this. It didn't work (otherwise I wouldn't start this thread, duh!). Please, what am I doing wrong. Tell me

Could be any number of things... But, depending on what version of WinDoze you are running, and if this is just a recent problem, you might try doing a "System Restore" and reset your computer's setting back to a date to when you know everything was still working good. Could be some settings/drivers/etc... got "messed up" or corrupted somehow.

System Restore usually can be found from: Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore.Ã,  Ã, Choose to "Restore my computer...", then from the Calander thingy, pick a checkpoint to before when you had a problem.Ã,  Ã,
The computer will then attempt to restore your settings to what it was on that date, it will reboot by itself, and when it comes back on (it make seem to pause for a minute while it's restoring the settings on reboot), you should hopfully get a message that the System Restore was successful.

It sounds like some of your graphic drivers may have gotten messed up, so, if the System Restore does not work for you, you might try reinstalling a fresh copy of your graphic card's drivers (or download the most recent version from the manufacturer's website).Ã,  Installing a recent version of DirectX may possibly help as well.
Good luck.

I don't really want to do a system restore, since I haven't used those softwares for weeks. I'm running XP (-_-). I'll try the graphics drivers thing first. Man, why didn't I think of that first?

Sometimes defragmenting your hard drive can help too, have you tried it?

Something similar happened to me in the past. Most full screen applications stopped working out of the blue. I could be running a game and when I switched to full screen, boom. I tried System Restore but wouldn't even do the restore, defragmenting, disk checking, updating drivers, virus scans, adaware, everything... So I decided to start playing Doom 3 which was of the few working games. I didn't care of the problem since it was the only game I was playing, but after I finished it I noticed that the problem was fixed... magically. I guess my computer was possessed or something.

Demons, but then you killed them all. That's what happened.
