Hi there! I'm aware some people here are experts in their field with Blender and 3DS Max... A fan-film I've been part of for many, many years is closing in on completion but they need a 3D model of an old ambulance for some shots. We've put in some requests at websites where people have obviously made them in the past (see http://www.foundation3d.com/forums/showthread.php0213) but if there is anyone here who feels they can do a competent job to create something very similar, please get in touch. The example in that linked thread is extremely photorealistic and is of course exactly what's needed, but I think the film-makers would settle for something a LITTLE less photo realistic than that (but only slightly!).

There is a negotiable payment. I'd like to hear from you first before discussing that. Of course, a credit in the movie goes without saying.

Feel free to PM me, or if you're not registered, email me mark at screen7.co.uk

Thank you!

Daz3D offer a WWII truck/ambulance, and it looks like this:

That's just a plain GI render that I knocked up, since Daz's own images of it aren't that great. The texture work is fairly plain, but the model and texture pack only cost thirty dollars combined. If you could find someone to fancy-up the textures, and maybe add some geometry details to it, it could be worth thinking about.

Thank you LimpingFish, I shall pass this info on right away! It does seem workable to me, a matter of removing the doors and adding that bar on the front for example don't seem too complex to bring that model up to shape. So you get the right to modify it once bought?

As far as I know, you can treat the model how you wish, providing it's for use in a derivative work, and you're not trying to sell the original geometry.
