I saw the "red Dwarf" idea earlier, and it looks really cool.  I was watching one of my favorite canceled shows, Sliders, and I thought I'd ask:

Who would think a Sliders game would be cool?

They never officially ended the series, it was just kind of a "hey, what gives?  That's the end?" kind of ending.  They jump through a portal and there you have it, the end.  Would it even be worth it to work on a short "endgame" kind of story?  I always wanted them to get home again, even just to find that Earth Prime was decimated or whatever.  I think near the end they were trying to get to Colin's home "earth," rahter than Earth Prime, now that I think about it.

I have my plate kinda full now, but if there's interest in this one, it will be put on the agenda (or given to someone who is interested in pursueing it.)
That's like looking through a microscope at a bacterial culture and seeing a THOUSAND DANCING HAMSTERS!

Your whole planet is gonna blow up!  Your whole DAMN planet...

This is adventure game related you know, not off-topic..

I don't think it's a good idea, I think the end result would be cheesy because of the inability to recreate special effects, but then I think that way about any movie/TV inspired game. It just seems to me that when you're drawing cartoons, it looks right, rather than drawing cartoons that are supposed to resemble real people.

In the end though, I'll put the words of a good friend up again, "Do what you feel, and you'll always feel good."
Once I killed a man. His name was Mario, I think. His brother Luigi was upset at first, but adamant to continue on the adventure that they started together.

I, for one, think this would be an awesome idea. I loved the Sliders TV show and think a game would be neat. The thing is, however, that it would have to be pre-rendered 3D people and effects, because of the nature of the show and the effects. If you decide to go this route, I could offer my 3D skills and assistance wherever needed. :)
Status: Trying to come up with some ideas...

I thought so too.  I think I'd rather have hand aniated chars, but Sierra-Style, rahter than Lucasarts' cartoon style.

Cool, next thing on the list (maybe even on Blusoft's list?)

True, if you could get good 3d modellers you'd be on the right track. I wouldn't go the route of MS Paint graphics with a Sliders game though.

Mind you, it's not the idea that I thought was bad. It's the graphics.

I think a Sliders game would be awesome, though I've only seen a few episodes...which I regret because I loved the ones I saw.
Anyway, if you like Sliders, you might enjoy a particular game that's in production. Can't remember who's making it though...
