I recently dyed my hair bright, surf blue. Everyone was talking about how I looked like a smurf. We got into talking about how the only Smurf with hair was Smurfette, and she wasn't even a real smurf. Then talks about facial hair being white and such. But one person suprised me with an interesting fact that smurfs were origionally cell shaded green, but the color adjustments between editing and tv settings, made them look blue. As time progressed, they kept the producers chose to keep the blue color.
after looking through a shit-ton of smurf figurines I conclude that the only smurfs that had hair on their heads were girls, therefore I conclude that Evil is indeed a female smurf.
Which proves my theory on Intelligent Design... There has to be a creator behind all of this and it is obviously Gargamel.

Hm? The original Smurfs (Les Schtroumpfs) by Peyo were indeed blue and nothing else
Poor smurfs! I don't like UN very much for useless and corrupt, but this is the drop that floods the glass!
Out of topic... I've seen pics of smurfs without the hut. They have hair, blonde hair, and it has the same exactly shape than the hut. Don't know if they have made his traditional white hut in the same shap than their hair has, or the hair has that shape because they have the hut allways on.

Personally, I prefer the idea that they built their dwellings to look like their hair (or style their hair to look like their houses).
I read a British-based report on this - that I now can't find, or remember how the hell I found it in the first place - that said something along the lines of "I can see it having an impact in Belgium, where they're quite beloved, but over here I think people will just want to see it to watch the little buggers burn." (Paraphrased, but I tend to agree.)
EDIT: I think it also said something about parents having complained to TV stations, about the ad traumatising their kids.
I've mentioned it many times. Belgium Smurfs, the "paper" ones, the ones in the comics, by Peyo, are lovely. American ones, the TV ones, by Hannah-Barbera, IMO suck harder than Jenna Jamesson in her latest escapade (sic. Chris Quentin Jones). I think Hannah Barbera animates quite badly, the background quality is poor, and the original humour is severelly censored.

Anyway, what kind of sick freak made this thing up? And, if you listen to what the lady says in the video afterwards very closely, why does a certain vulgar term referencing a part of the female anatomy mean something having to do with either Smurfs or War in Belgian???
