Title: So what are your new year's plans?

I know that I will probably get a handful of reasons why I should not post this (i.e 'why didn't you read the instructions before you posted?') but screw it.  I want to know what you all are doing this new year's!  :D  Here in Dubai, I am going to a house party with some friends.  It will be 2006 9 hours before Canada hahah! :D

I will be checking on my supplies and cleaning my guns in preparation for the forthcoming armageddon....

But actaully, I'm supposed to go to a party with folks I used to work with. I don't feel like going and am kinda sick anyway, but a part of me wonders if I will regret passing up the chance to get out of the house for a bit....

I will be madly partying my butt of as I.... sit around the house. :) Will probably end up playing Rubies of Eventide around 2 or 3:00 with a buddy or maybe AOE2. Wow. I'm exciting, aren't I? ;)

In all probability, though, my night of boredom will be interrupted by the yearly ritual of rescuing a bunch of people I know from numerous different parties at whih they will be very drunk. Now THAT'S excitement. Knowing that one false move, one wrong word could bring about the complete, humiliating beating of one of your best friends by someone slightly less drunk with a much less developed sense of humor. lol

I have been notified of something I have not heard of called a "Viking Party."  I believe it pushes anything regarding Norse mythology aside, and is boiled down to simply drinking beer in the woods.  Now personally, I like beer.  I also like being in the woods, so this seems like the thing to do.

I never put much stock in it being a new year. I'll probably make a few resolutions that last a few hours, and fall asleep in drunken bliss. And then the next year I'll get all angry when I date my papers as 2005. The good news is, we get an extra second! So the count down will really be 10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1...1...Happy New Year! So I'll be living that extra second up!

My new year's resolution will be the same as last years... to not make a resolution!  Woohoo, I've succeeded for 9 years now, ever since I was old enough to realize that resolutions were for the unstable and the overweight!!!  :D

-Get my driving lisense...

-Finish my career, only one exam left, I am waiting for the 32 topics which can be choosen...

-Lose 6, 7 or 8 Kilos, I am too fat, 6 kilos more than average when I compeating.

Having a bit of a party at my place, karaoke, pool, the traditional watching the fireworks on a mediocre TV that's probably a thousand years oldÃ,  :=.
Something you might find funny:
Me and my brother have a bet. I read somewhere that if you go 24 hours without sleep, you cannot properly recite the alphabet. He thinks it is possible. Woho are his eyes gonna be red!!Ã,  ;DÃ,  ;DÃ,  ;D

I'll be seeing it in with family this year. Just as well, I don't yet know the words to 'Auld Lang Syne' which was quite embarrassing this year.

After the hour has passed (Just like the scientists have predicted) I shall raise a glass to all people out there not at home with family or friends for whatever reason - be it work, illness or otherwise. And then I'll do it again in case I've forgotten anyone. And again just for luck.

When I finish the bottle of vodka, I shall go to bed and sleep like a long-sleeping thing for a good long while.

Beyond that, the following year, I shall make vague resolutions to change my errant ways, and not meet a single one. It's basically going to be 'this year' only spelt differently.

I'll try to skip night parties and get some much needed sleep... I'll do all my socialising tomorrow, with long time friends and other people I'll spend time with because I want to, not because I have to ...

Had a few close friends round in the arvo for a few beers and a swim, very hot day, still pretty warm at 2:40am New years day

Saw the early fireworks 9pm from my apartment, then caught a train to city and saw the midnight ones. Too crowded in city hundreds of thousands of people (literally) so didn't bother going to any pubs and came home. Nothing really that special.

It's going to be another hot one later today (1.1.06) 43C (109.4F) I'm glad I have air conditioning (and a pool)

I was supposed to go to a club, but my friend is ill and I hadn't exactly convinced my mom yet. So I'm staying home, eating tons of yummy food, and one or two friends will be coming over after midnight. :)
