You'll get soime solid laugh.
Well, I'm doing my first game with... Paint. I don't rip any sprites or backgrounds. I do everything myself. It looks crappy. The best thing is that I have Photoshop 6.0 and should have used that instead, but now I don't want to start everything again. And I'm not very familiar with the Photoshop either.
Sowhat if you draw in paint. Coell Decka is being drawn in paint.

This (http://www.agsforums.com/games.php?action=detail&id=33) funny ags game was made in paint as well. :=
wow great picture ;)

I wouldn't dream of making a game in photoshop. I use Paint Shop Pro and 99% of the time I'm only ever using pixel sized pens. As long as you can put a pixel on an image, you can make a great looking game.
Here's what you're supposed to laugh at:

I'm thinking about putting it in the game announcements and if I do, you will see more of this rubbish at the appropriate thread.
I know I should resize the character.
Yes, Photoshop cannot use a one-pixel brush. It sucks. I use PS primarily now because of school, I've gotten so used to it, but PSP is good for some things as well. PS is better at text and layer alterations, PSP is better at pixel work and vectors.
Photoshop cannot use a one-pixel brush?
Heh, RTFM, guys.
Right-click on the paintbrush icon in PS, click the pencil.
VOILA!
One-pixel brush.
Yeah, it's got a one pixel brush, took me a while to figure that out also...
Thanks, guys! That should help me a lot when I switch to PS.
If you REALLY want something to laugh at...

RODEO CLOWNS!!
Is it Bush the clown with white face? :o
I have been using Photoshop since Photoshop 4 came out. Photoshop can do so much their are volumes and volumes of books and cd's and websites that if you started now you might be able to read them all, not counting ones that would come out after you start, if you read steady for 40 years. Photoshop can do pixel art just as good as MS paint or Paint shop pro. You just have to set your stuff up right. Change the color picker to the windows color picker if you don't like the Photoshop color picker. You can use a one pixel pencil and then you still get all the options for layers and as many undos as you want. I can't remember what the default level of undos is but you can change that too. Of course buying a legal full copy if expensive so most people don't want to go that route. I get mine threw my job so it's free.
Photoshop is very good at pixelart I'd say...
not that I made a lot of pixel art, but what I did make was all photoshopped :)
The pixel drawing tool is excellent as far as I'm concerned. Come to think of it I only use photoshop for the layering tool and the transparancy comes in handy :P
Um, I do all my art in photoshop... Why didn't anyone tell me it can't do a 1 pixel brush!
Photoshop has been lying to me!
/me watches as all his art disappears!
It was all a delusion!
OKay, okay, for the love of God, just one correction would suffice, thank you all so VERY much. I never discovered the one-pixel pencil tool. Shit in PS isn't organized very well, IMHO; there should be a way to reorganize the tools to one's liking. But that's just me.
Well, now that I know this, I can use PS for pixel art...if I ever do any.
And Eric, don't you mean "illusion"? You can use "delusion" in one way that you can use "illusion", but that's not it. :P
I used to use Paint, but I longed for PSP. Then I found I had a demo version on an old PC mag cover disc.
Yeah it sucked.
I think Ultimate Paint is the best. Its like MSPaint with knobs on.
And a x32 zoom, which is actually unbelievable handy and the mode I draw in. I speak not of the crap I have occaisonally posted here, but of the stack of new work for my Red Dwarf game.
But if you want something to laugh at go watch Family Guy. Unless you meant Shannon Doherty's eye funny. In which case I got nothing.
Technically, delusion could be synonymous with illusion as a noun, but it probably implies the process or result of someone actively deluding somebody, more than just a phenomenon of misconception.
I'm just talking gibberish, right?
Well, that would suit this thread quite well.
It was a delusion, I wasn't actually making any art at all and I was stuck in a mental state which made me believe that I was updating my site with art and that I had made any games
but now that you've found the 1 pixel tool the tangental universe has collapsed and we're safe again..
Biff Tannen still has that Oh La La magazine you bought in the future.

GREAT SCOTT!!!
QuoteBiff Tannen still has that Oh La La magazine you bought in the future.Ã,Â
no it's the sports almanach, the Oh La La is from the fifties ... OH NO, your time thread is running backwards!
Some day soon it will meet mine and the result of this collision is unpredictable.
I have to find the knot in the continuum and fix it with a monkey wrench BEFORE the zombies leave racoon city! Gotta run, so read you later!
(oh, and Rich,
QuoteShit in PS isn't organized very well, IMHO; there should be a way to reorganize the tools to one's liking.
you can, and you can save even different "workplaces" for each purpose - like "comics", "pixelart" etc.Ã, ;))
EDIT:
why should anyone organize shit very well? Cleaning up should be enough :)
Bah! This just makes PS even better in my opinion. Things I never knew existed suddenly pop up.
Lilke a pre-destination time paradox. Jurggrrahhh!
Meh, I think PhotoPlus 5.5 is better, it's free and it can do good effects in my opinion (Man, why did I had to remove my copy of Photoshop? *Sigh*). I wonder if someone can lend me a copy of photoshop. Unless it's over 10MB. Jasc paint shop pro seems nice too but the trial is HUGE! Sigh, now this links me to other things, my slow 28.8 (or 56) K internet can't even download 14.6 MB in less than 1 hour.
Heh, the other day a friend of mine showed his photoshop skills when I showed him the wierd effects of difference mode.
photoshop would really be great if I knew how to draw a SINGLE line. Normally it's a double line.
The thing I don't like in PS - I have it for now but don't know how to use these different opions. It all seems so complicated.
See, I had the advantage of a classroom to teach me the beginnings of Photoshop 7. And Edwin, the free trial of Photoshop (available from www.adobe.com) is well over 60MB. The full program is no different.
