Anyone else abandon family to work on AGS game?

I just fired up AGS to work on my game, and I got a funny little message about how naughty I was being, working on Christmas day and all.     Myabe this is not new to everyone, but to those who have not seen it, maybe set your computer clock to dec 25, then try running it.  It's funny.  I can honestly say my face turned red when the little window popped up.  Still, I was not deterred!  I've got a lot of work to do if I want to impress all of you AGS-ers with my debut offering. No rest for the wicked I guess.

Cut the man some slack.

It never fails, every year there's always someone new(er) who posts a new thread about this.  I think we just have to face the facts on this; it's going to happen every year, whether we like it or not.

People getting caught doesn't surprise me. I'm more surprised that people post about the message. Like they load up the error message and go, "Okay, time to work on my g... Oh, holy shit! A fake error message! I have got to tell the people on the forums about this, they're not going to believe it! I wonder if they've seen anything like this before?!" You know, like we've all been living in concrete boxes for the last ten years and think electricity is magic, etc.

It's a little bit like the people who were fooled by that "AGS is going commercial" April Fools post TWO YEARS after the joke started and felt they had to post "Wha-a-a-at? Is AGS really going commercial??"

Mind you, I'm not annoyed by it. Post whatever you want. But it makes me think: are people that oblivious to something everyone already knows about? It's like someone finding one of those FREE iPOD websites and joyously posting here about it when everyone in the world knows it's a scam except the person posting.

I've had ags open for a week solid so this wasn't an issue.  Also, I feel rather silly that I was working on a map screen for Drug Bust instead of eating copious amounts of turkey.

Lol when I saw this thread, I temporarily changed the date on my pc to 25 dec and hahahaha the msg came up lol!! Mind u, I would have worked on my game if my rellies had let me - being Italian they wouldn't lol, now that I'm on hols from work for 2 weeks I have all the time in the world for my game ahhhh. But I tell you tho, just b4 rellies started going home I snuck upstairs to play a game that Dave Gilbert had just delivered to my email (yep pre-purchased and just released) and I just played for hours which was a lovely way to end the xmas day celebrations lol. Cosy and warm in my bedroom. Yes I am in aussie and it usually is HOT on xmas day but this yr we recorded the 1st time in 76 yrs the COLDEST winter - even having some snow, a big rarity and first for me!!!!!! So it was cosy to snuggle up with my game til bed time (that means 7 hours I did not get off lol - thats games for me, both playing and making ).
