Voting closed at 3pm Friday in the AGS Awards and FOREGOs.

Awards ceremony on irc.adventuregamestudio.co.uk in channel #ags and #agsawards (details of how that works, AGA, please?) at 8pm GMT Saturday.

Get an IRC Client, i recommend mIRC (standalone program) *click* or chatzilla (mozilla/firefox extension) *click*.

Set up your name and nickname, then create a connection to irc.adventuregamestudio.co.uk. Sample code for mIRC (don't know if it'll work in other clients):

/server irc.adventuregamestudio.co.uk
/join #agsawards

If you have java installed you can use a java irc client, just click this funky text to open one and directly connect to our server.
If you don't want to install software and don't like java you can use cgi:irc. (i stole this link) *click*. Enter your nickname and realname, change the server to irc.adventuregamestudio.co.uk, channel to #agsawards. thats it!.

Oh, you can click this line if you've already got an irc client and ypur browser knows what to do with irc:// links

I can't connect to the bigbluecup server... It just says "*Unable to connect to server (Connection attempt timed out)" $:-\$

That would be because the server has changed to irc.americangirlscouts.org, SSH just hasn't caught up with the times!

Edit- I read it as irc.bluecup.com ;P

irc.bigbluecup.org is the correct, official url, I don't know what your problem is...

It may be blocked by a firewall, most likely Windows Firewall. I, myself, can't connect to any IRC server without disabling my firewall for a few seconds whilst I connect.

A very stupid question probably:

Just tried irc... I enterd and saw the Awards window. There was Haddas, ProgZTIRED (lol), and me...

I typed in "anybody?". Waited a little while but got no response... Did anybody see that? Am I doing something wrong, or am I just impatient?

Yeah, usually #agsawards only allows the presenter and recipient to speak and then a brief period of congrats. Normal chat continues 24/7 on #ags

Me neither, but I caught up in the past 2 days. I didn't finish the games, unfortunately, but played them enough to make a good judgement of which one I thought deserved the award for the every category.
