Okay so I'm supposed to post my competition idea here first, right? Am I cool enough to make up a competition? No. Why am I even bothering trying to pull this off? I hate myself.

Here's the concept:
For weeks, (I'm completely serious) I've been trying and trying to make my friend Mike Kiley an AGS game for Christmas, and failed horribly. I did get a few rooms and stuff done, however, and I'd still really like to send him the finished game before Christmas.
But I could never finish even a very small game so quickly. So I was looking this site over, and it's amaizng how quickly you guys can finish a decent game. So I was hoping (and I may as well not get my hopes up) some of you would like this idea:
Anyone who wants to can take the screenshots and character pictures below, and make a good game out of them by the 21st. You can edit the pictures in any way you want, but please keep the basic idea. The story is all up to you, but the main character has to be Mike Kiley and the gam'es title has to be "The Adventures of Mike Kiley". You can also add your own rooms and characters. Make it as big as you want, or as small as you want. And remember to make it partly just a joke game (Mike Kiley has a very odd sense of humor, that's my only guideline for you...think Douglas Adams)

Do not post the finished games here, send them to me in an email ( sellyourbaby@hotmail.com ) and maybe let me know here. The top three (maybe five, depending on how many entries I get) best games will be posted here, and put onto a disk to be sent to Mike Kiley immediately, and also put on the downloads section of my site. Yes, I do realize the strangeness of this request, that's what, mainly, motivated me to carry through with this contest. Of course, if nobody thinks it's a good idea, I understand completely. Because it's not.

I don't know how everyone else is going to react to this post (I'm sure it breaks at least one rule...)
But lemme get this straight, you want someone to make you a game in 2 or 3 days... hmmm...
EDIT: I wasn't trying to sound like a moderator before, I'm just trying to point out that sometimes, when you break a rule, some members of this community will jump down your throat (like they ARE moderators). I'd name a few, but let's not get into that... I just kinda wish that some people would remember that we're all only human and that we all make mistakes or can't figure things out on our own.
As good as the people here are at making games, I don't really think it's realistic to expect anyone to manage it within 48 hours.

Well... maybe this posrt break one rule or two, I don´t know, I´m not a moderator, and this is not my duty here... But Sellyourbaby has posted in a very polite way, and I would help him if I had enough idea of scripting (Duties for 2004: Learn to script).
Anyway... You must understand that this is not example Sellyourbaby... Imagine that every newbie stucked in the production of his game do this ;). This forum would become a mess! :(

It's good that you posted a polite message and not like "could somebody PleeeeeaaaaaSSeeEE make my gayme for mEEE??22? pppllleeeeeeassse?".
But if you're game is short enough that you feel it could be made within a matter of a few days, I would suggest that you sit down for a couple evenings and just slowly work your way through it. I've poured countless hours into games that were going to full to mid length and have scrapped them.
Sometimes you've gotta fail to learn how to do it right. :)
Dude, looks like your game is done already. Just make stuff for people to look at and crap and then your golden. If your making it for your friend, just put some lame little 2 puzzle deal that revoloves around some joke or something you guys know.
