That is a working title.
The story involves Weird Al and his band making their new record
called Alpocalypse. Hal the computer that handles the sound processing
errors and sends Al into Doom3 (one of Al's favorite games).
Al must destroy any monsters that confront him, but in a funny way with bizarre inventory items
in bizarre ways.
Al also must collect all his albums hidden all over the rooms.
It has alot of helpful tips in dialog and display texts.
It is aimed at kids.
He is also sent into a fantasy world and then the Unreal game world ( also one of his favorite games).
He ends up at home in the end conclusion.
1024x768 resolution
32-bit color
15 rooms
Png photo backgrounds, inventory, characters and objects.
Trying to make it as funny as possible.
Look for it in a few months, maybe sooner.

You are aware, I hope, that Weird Al has a daughter in real life?
At the risk of another tantrum, wrong place, and even if it was in the right place, it would still be wrong.

Yes I am. I am a big Weird Al fan. The title is just a working title.
I also didn't want to post pics, since it is a pain getting them onto mediafire.
Well in that case it's certainly a good thing that Mediafire is the only image hosting site on all of the interwebz.
I recommend http://imgur.com/ (http://imgur.com/) for hosting images. It's quick, easy (you can even drag and drop!) and you don't even need an account. :)

At least it's not another "Icey" masterpiece ;).
I don't really see the point of this thread. You're letting us know that you've decided to start working on this, but have you accomplished anything yet?
I myself have fallen prey to the desire to let the world know about my amazing projects before I really have anything to show for it, but it usually just leads to the project falling apart because you didn't get the support/motivation you wanted for it, or just disenthusing everyone the next time you announce something.
I still share too much with people far too early on (you know who you are!!), but I've learned not to run and tell the whole world just because I opened AGS.
That being said, KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR MY UPCOMING SHORT PROJECT, WHICH NOBODY WHO I HAVEN'T TOLD KNOWS ABOUT YET.
That is all. :)

Ha ha ha, stop hating and stay on topic or just insult dbuske. ;)
Wait..saying that it could never live up to the TOTAL AWESOMITITY that is STUDIOICEYE3GAMES isn't an insult?? :-\
@dbuske: since you say this game is aimed at kids, will it feature Elmo as the main player. You should really consider having Elmo as the main player if you want this game to be about kids. Also consider making Big Bird and the Snuffleupagus playable characters and changing the name to Sesame Street. These are only my suggestions but I think they would make your game a good success with kids. Oh, and Grover!
Wow. There's a reason for the GiP rules and it is to prevent threads like this. So rather than simply posting this in Gen-Gen, why not realize why the GiP rules are there and refrain from announcing this (way, way, waaaaay) prematurely at all?
It's like taking your dog for a walk in the park and letting him shit on the path because there's a sign that says "don't let your dog shit on the grass".

Haha, made my day.
And since I like analogies so much: "I didn't want to eat mustard with that since it is a pain getting it out of the
glass jar with your tongue."

Who the hell eats mustard from a glass?
I just shove my tongue in the plastic blottles. Much easier.
We've just had a Crackwell sequel, and don't need any more for a while ;)
Thanks for the image site link it works well.
I uploaded 2 screenshots.
Not final images of course.
Relax you guys.
I especially like the white outlines around the characters. Why don't more games use white outlines??
Also, if you won't have Elmo as the player, will Elmo be featured in the game? I really think it would make your game a big success!
Looking forward to it, keep up the great work! :=

I think all of dbuske's works include those fancy outlines ;)

Because pink looks better!
Oh dear, another poor, deluded soul that truly believes they're making a "game"..
This game is on the top of my most anticipated games. I also love the variation of the poses Weird Al has.
I love how Weird Al's favourite games are also your favourite games! What a weird coincidence, huh? ;)
This can only mean one thing: dbuske is Weird Al Yankovic!! :o
This game is obviously a autobiography, based entirely on a true story!! :D
So dbuske/Weird Al, will this game include your adventures with Elmo? I've only heard rumours, but supposedly the two of you are great friends, right? Man, I can't wait to hear about all your adventures!!!
Who knew that dbuske was Weird Al. Oh man, this is the greatest news the AGS community has ever had. Even better than that short stint that Steve Carrel spent here!
Is it just me, or does weird Al...ahem..dbuske... have the same expression on his face in the studio as he does with a winged demon standing behind him ?
Fighting a winged demon with your back to him could be hazardous to ones health

I'm going to have to disagree on that part. Nothing tops Steve Carrel's visit. This comes close, but it's not quite there.
In all fairness to dbuske, I actually like the art style. It's very Monty Python-like.
