what programs do ya'll use to animate

just wondering what programs (free if any) you guys are using to animate characters and objects. I apologize if this is in the wrong forum.

Cosmigo Promotion is good for pixel art animations, but most people use PS's Imageready or PSP's Animation Studio, or just no specific animation software at all.  Animation is generally more of a chore than an art form around here
