Strange events and experiences in your life

Terran, people aren't trying to be bastards or make fun of you (well, most, I think, aren't), that sort of thing would give me the same reaction!

I'm a realist too, and a skeptic through and through, but I've had lots of experiences which have made me question things. The thing is, if I imagine myself watching some TV show on angels or ghosts, and listening to someone else say what I experienced, I realise that there is no real evidence something 'strange' happened, and that there are logical explanations, even if it comes down to a real coincidence.

Honestly, she could have been pretending... it's just a fact. IT doesn't matter how well you know a person, you don't know everything about them. Girls in particular are very good at showing you most parts of themselves and keeping some parts completely hidden, even subconciously. Sometimes we pretend to lose at video games :/ Sad, but true. Sometimes, I even pretend to be stupider than I am, or surprised at something my fiance says. I can tell you, I'm damn, DAMN good at it. It's an art. Of course he might read this but that's okay, I'm sure he does it to me too. We're all deeper than we appear, really.

As I was saying in the other thread, we both finish each others sentences a lot, and I know exactly what he's thinking sometimes, even when it's completely off topic or weird. It's just a result of being so in tune with a person... it used to happen with my best friends in high school too.

Again, I'm not saying this is what happened to you, but it's a possibility that she was, either conciously or subconciously, making it up. Honestly, if it were me, I'd know to make one of the answers slightly off, and another completely wrong to make it believable. IF that's what happened.

Girls are good, dude. Real good ^_-

And Terran, I really would like you to prove your power because since eric showed us randi's site, although I've been amused at the various stories there, it's become depressingly clear that there's not a lot of magic going around in the world. Also, that you were way more eager to take your girlfriend's word on your powers than do a SIMPLE write-your-answer-down test first seems to indicate you being partial to adopting comfortable superpowered explainations of what's going on, completely skipping the critical examination part of the deal. 'I can read minds because my girlfriend told me I can.' simply doesn't do it, really. Given your record of stating that you're able to put someone in a hypnotic trance 'by accident', having recieved no training whatsoever in the field, that pretty much makes me think you are just really wanting to believe shit, and that your woman is playing along. I suggest you beat some sense into her, if only by accident.

I have a magic power for predicting the future. However, it only works with guessing which repeat of The Simpsons is on. What happens is this: I'll think of a certain episode in the morning and it'll be on at 6pm.

Sometimes it's pretty useless. Like tonight. Last night they had the first part of the "Who Shot Mr Burns?" episode so it's pretty obvious what episode will be on tonight.

Maybe the bond between you and your girlfriend is closer than even you could have imagined. As such, pulling in a random stranger for experimaentation would only fail, and also, attempting to perform the experiment under duress instead of during a moment of intimacy might also fail completely.

One of the lesser was a recurring dream throughout my life, since early childhood, that portrayed the exact time, location, and manner of my father's death. I think you are this girl Andrea you speak of, after years of telling us the ins and outs of your private relationships, some how you've become your ultimate partner but it's all in your mind.

It is possible that you are just on a similar wave length, or you totally just fluked it all.

I bet if you tried a number between 1-100 and had 100 attempts the percentage of correct answers would go down. also being 1 number off guessing is still wrong and may as well be 87 off.

Finishing off sentences is pretty common with people that know each other well, even knowing what someone is thinking and communicating that to each other without a word is common.

If you haven't known this girl for long and you are already at this stage, I bet you've both had similar friends or have similar thought processes, brought up in similar environments, similar interests etc, which is also what has probably brought you together.

I'd say it's nothing that unusual, and could make for an interesting relationship, just make sure she's not your long lost twin sister first

This is pretty strange what happened to me:

Last year sometime I was sleeping over at a friend's house and we decided to play Monopoly. We were playing a special rule that all money paid went to the middle and if you landed on free parking you got it all. It came to my turn. I was 5 blocks away from free parking. I held the dice in my hand and concentrated every inch of my thought on it, willing it to be a 2 & 3. It was. My friends said it was chance. I dismissed this and we carried on playing. It came to exactly the same situation and this time I visualised a 1 & 4. It was. Now my friends were amazed, so I told my one friend to think of a number between 1 & 10. I got that right as well!

Pretty weird, huh?

Oh yeah and another time my friends and I were doing magic tricks to each other and I did the same trick again! I got it right again!

Now THAT's weird!

I just want to add that James Randi is my hero.  I've been a visitor to his site for years and the submissions from quacks offering to summon ufo's in vegas (provided it's not windy, loud, etc) and such never fail to amuse me.  No, I obviously do not believe in psychic phenomena or mystical hogwash.  It's just a way for people to feel like there's something 'more' out there.  I especially love how Sylvia Browne believes in her powers so strongly she won't take the Randi test...Even for a million dollars (which she can donate to charity if it's not about money).
