Title: Strategic measures and lying to yourself
Post by: Tuomas on Mon 31/05/2010 12:42:56
Did the topic make you uncomfortable? No? I'll do it then.

My girlfriend had friends over, and they were all talking about penises and the sizes they had experienced. It was a bit uncomfortable, but I was hung over, so I didn't mind. Someone said every man at some point has measured their own length, and anyone who claims otherwise is lying. I don't want to make a statement here, I'll stay neutral. I read a study on this, Wikipedia has a lot of information on this, it seems to be everyones favourite subject to look at when they're at home alone. Apparently 95% of people put a few cm or even an inch more than the result is to exaggerate the results, which makes for example producing condoms a tad harder. Is this because everyone wants to know if they're alfa-male potential. After all, this seems to be the thing we find ourselves measuring each other in.

Apparently according to the girls, women have nothing to compare with each other. Apparently breasts aren't such a deal for them, they have no reproductive value... A Darwinist point of view on them is that the sexual focus has changed from the buttocks to the breasts in a long while, presumably due to standing on too feet, high above the waist area, and with that, they've gained a sexual meaning. That's probably why women put plastic in them nowadays :P

But that's because of men. Measuring penises is not because women are always there trying to compare them, or is it? There must be something to it because people lie. They lie to everyone and first of all, they lie to themselves. First you take a look, and it's the average length/girth. Then you try to adjust the measurer to make one cm more, and when asked, you give it one or two more again. Why? Does it really make you feel better, that when you see yourself naked, say, while having sex and you realize you're not as big as you say you are, and you'll never be. Would that not make it drop, make you feel less of a man? Accepting yourself as you are and learning to live with it would sound like an easier solution, wouldn't it?

I'm just puzzled over how much good will lying to yourself do. Sure some people will think better of you once you tell them your strategic measures. That or they'll think you're a strange creep. But they'll also know that you're lying, and so do you, and everytime you look in the mirror you'll remember, that your johnson isn't 9 inches after all. Kinda like talking about shaving your face every morning when your only 13 and don't even have pubic hair.

How much lying do you need to convince yourself of something that's not true? The above text as an opener... I know I've been telling everyone that I was in the ice-hockey junior national team when I was a kid and I've grown to believe that myself too, when truth be told I dropped out just the autumn I was called up to the camp with 100 other people :P Still thinking what's it worth :/

PS: Here's why you should never listen to women!

I hate penis comparisons or something like that.... actually, anything that is associated with "male" or "manliness". Men who consider themselves "manly" are nothing but idiotic jerks who can do nothing but rub their own 50-inch-Penis....

Rotfl, Tuomas, you sure know how to pick a subject.

Well, I say that boys aren't sure of themselves so they do many things to make themselves more cool. Not to beat around the bush, men do things so they can attract females, it's only natural. Adding a few cm-s or telling about their GREAT achivements are just two of many examples.

I don't care much, though I try to avoid women with long vaginas (tall females) as my *little* penis can't quite reach their G spot.

Being married has it's ups then! My wife tells me that my dick is the hugest she's ever seen!  :=

Ok, enough of that... I think that such a subject is... subject to constant lying... And I can't recall myself talking about something like that with any male friend of mine. I do recall myself discuss various sex positions, but other than that, not much else...

where's that pornbot then? ;D

In my friend circle its more the girls that talk cock size ... But I am in a friendship circle where everyone is alternative and the girls are Filth. The guys are more like lucky male porn stars that just nod and agree in a rather neanderthal way ...

Do you factor curve into the equation? Hang? Swing?

Nonsense.

Better to be an average fellow who can stay the course, than a titan who collapses at the first hurdle.

Anyway, those who rely solely on their bayonet to conquer the enemy aren't using their entire arsenal.

Think outside the box, Privates!

I'm not exactly hung like a gnat, but on the other hand I do sometimes wake up and think 'where is he?'

What about a titan who can stay the course?

People often assume that people with large penises are somehow inferior to those without.

It's jealousy I tells ya!

I won't lie.  I wish mine was bigger... ask any girl, the whole 'it's what you do with it' thing is a myth.  A mantra taught to guys by their mummies to make them feel better about themsleves.  Most chicks like a nice big juicy sirloin.

What even classes as small anyway?  I mean, short of asking everyone their cock-sizes, I don't really know.  I've never been laughed at to my face, but I know I'm not exactly Red Rum either.

My mother has never said anything of the sort, had she I believe I would have rung child services and gotten myself some nice foster parents.

Haha, come to think of it, neither did mine... maybe I should change 'mummies' to 'vicars'.

What? Are you from Sweden?

Anyway, penis sizes are just the projections of our minds, so instead of crying we should better work on expanding our minds.

Bullshit I say.

I've seen some pretty nasty titties in my time.  Aergh... I remember this one girl in my town, drunk as hell, running towards me topless on main street to give me a hug.  They were the epitome of banana boobs.  They literally swooped down and back up.  Aahck..... I shiver thinking about them jumping up and down as she drunkenly pranced over to me.  Why she was running around town drunk and trying to hug me, well... that is another story, for another day.

So yes.  I say bullshit to that.  Some girls have great breasts, and some have horrible ones.  Life goes on.  You or even they can't say they don't compare or wish they had some other girl's breasts.

Of course their comparing isn't a reproductive thing, it's an attraction thing.
We compare our dicks in the sense that we feel it to be an indication to who's a better, more attractive man and a more satisfying partner.

Nobody wants to be Jonny Smallcock, even if for no reason other than we as a society have attached value to the concept of large genitals. It doesn't even matter if it's true or false that size is satisfying and attractive.

"Why is it that a woman always thinks that the most savage thing she can say to a man is to impugn his cocksmanship? I gave up comparing genitals back in the schoolyard."

I only ever measured my member to get a mental reference pint for when these discussions are brought up... always by females, inevitably. Wait... there were two alpha male guys in high school who did a bit. One of them was recently hospitalised after the boyfriend of a girl he slept with beat the crap out of him in front of the local shop.

...is there a moral to that story? Probably not.

MY BEARD HAIR IS THE CURLIEST EVER! It curls at +360º on average!
YEAH! That makes me manly!

...on a serious note, yeah, having it big is not all good times. People always seem to stare (which is why I´ve taken to pissing in stalls instead of urinals), they always comment about it, and you usually have to end up rounding down to avoid embarrasment.

At least there is a place on the internet where I can air my troubles (metaphorically :P)

What about chest hair? I've taken to combing mine with a wire brush, after massaging nourishing avocado extract into the roots.

I'm thinking about growing it long enough to curl up and reach my beard so I can weave both masses into one giant hair shield.
