Blaming windows is like blaming the US. I've seen people at McDonald's, drinking coke, wearing levi's strauss and a nike t-shirt saying how the US suck for them.

Windows is not perfect... but it's the best we have.

Well... Seeing as you have Bonzai Buddy (or allow the ads for it or anything at all..) and you even use Opera, for that matter :-p... I see that you're computer is probably spyware/virus/trojan/crap ridden. As you can see, that error is NOT an official windows error message, it's just a notification message.

Try running a virus scanner, and then use my tutorial to get rid of all the crap on your system: http://lilgryph.sitesled.com/docs/tweaky-clean.rtf

Also.. Windows may have its bugs, but so do Macintoshes as well. Linux may be more stable, but the learning curve is tremendously steep.. And it also can have random bugs (moreso with the software, as most of it is made by volunteer coders.)

I hate when people bitch about Windows.. (And America, for that matter) As they ARE the best we have... As Farlander says.

It's probably just a cleverly-designed pop-up ad from one of the websites you were visiting (I noticed you were visiting a GeoCities site, and they are really bad for pop-up spam ad and the like). Or it could be a pop-up from a Spyware you have on your system. A lot of these pop-up ads nowadays are designed to look like some kind of system-error message, and when the user click on the "OK" button, the ad tries to force an install of some spyware or perhaps redirect you over to some crap-ad site.

The other things (as already mentioned), it could be a virus and/or a spyware on your system. Run a virus-scan on your system. You can do a free online virus-scan of your system over at: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp , and if you need a good free anti-virus program (if you're not already using one), then AVG Anti-Virus (In which you can download a Free version) can be found over at www.grisoft.com

Have a firewall enabled. XP has a built-in firewall option, but you need to turn it on. Or there are also several good free firewalls out there too (Such as ZoneAlarm, which a free version can be found over at www.zonelabs.com ).

Also, it would be wise to also scan your system for Spyware that may be lurking.
A good free utility for scanning for and removing most known spyware is Ad-Aware, which can be downloaded at www.lavasoft.de

Another good free utility is Spybot Search and Destroy (it sometimes picks up things that Ad-Aware misses, and vice-versa): www.security.kolla.de

Another good free utility that can help to prevent most Spyware from ever getting installed on your system is Spyware Blaster, which can be found at:
