'Yello,
i have a question any PSP owners on the forums who bought the Core system as opposed to the value pack.
My query is this: if you buy the PSP Core Pack, is the Lithium Battery supplied or do you have to purchase it?
If anyone could help it'd be appreciated.
Cheers,

Yes it comes with the battery... like it says on all the product info sheets for the standard system console at stores :P

I'm not an owner, but I'm pretty sure it comes with the battery. That would be like selling a TV without the on switch, wouldn't it? Also, couldn't you just google this?

EDIT: Dam, too late!

Of course he could have Googled for it.
..But he likes to have to wait for his answers instead of finding out immediately.

Actually i did google for it. I didn't get anything specific enough.
Thanks for the idiotic comments though, spleen.

I bought the core pack. Yeah, as has been said, it comes with the battery.

Its not the best of batteries, tho. Out of a 2-3hr charge you'll get about a films worth or a couple of hours of gaming. Using the internet sucks the battery dry the quickest, tho. You could buy a spare battery I suppose, but they seem to lose their charge over a fairly short time. :-\

btw, in all honesty you should be more worried about the memory stick that comes with bundled with the core PSP. At 32mb its all but useless for storing anything other than game saves. 1GB Sony sticks dropped in price recently, so I'd recommend tracking one down. :-*

Isn't it cheaper to buy a non-sony memory stick, like Sandisc or whatever they're called?

LimpingFish

Not over here. I got a Sony 1GB Memory Stick for E89.99. A 512mb Sandisk retails at E79.99. The 1GB hits somewhere around E140, I think.

I haven't been able to find a 1GB stick for anywhere near the Sony one. In shops that is. You might get one online cheaper. :/

Wow, my 1gb card (which I use for my DS) was £17.99... Sony must be making a nice profit on their memory sticks.

Mr Flibble

They sure as hell aren't turning a profit on anything else.  ::)

Sony can charge what they like because the Memory Stick Duo technology is only used in Sony or Sony-licensed products.  :-\

Unlike SD, Compact Flash, etc... :P
