has anyone else started their own web server on their own PC? ive got one setup on on a laptop using ISS under XP, its got all up to date sercurity patchs and service pack one, but just how safe is it? another probable not good thing its not the main host computer on the network, theres nothing worth stealing on either computer, no personal stuff, credit card details, accounts etc, just if someone wants to be distrutive
because theres a chance the laptop or main computer maybe turned off the link for the site goes to a hosted site first, to a site status page.
s'pose the easiest way is to get someone to do a "friendly" hack lol.

I used to use Apache for my own web server, but as my upload speed is only 320 Kbit/s, I stopped using my own web servers...
