I found this completely by chance, now I'm definitely going to look out for it - has the potential to be hilarious!  It's an animated parody of... well, you know what of... and from the clips released so far it looks very funny.  Definitely seems worth keeping an eye out for!

Armageddon

It, is, awful. How Lucas thought this was a good idea is beyond me.

Look at dat neck-chin.

It has its moments, in the previews anyway.  Robot Chicken was funny so.... I guess this has potential.  Let's face facts: the Star Wars universe has been utterly ruined by the shameless monetizing of the brand at the expense of... coolness.  I mean, anything since 1983 has been pretty much a let down, so the only place the franchise has to go is up.

I liked the Family guy and Robot Chicken Parodies of Star Wars. I thought they were awesome. I actually wish they would make a cartoon series that was pretty much in the art style of Family Guy, just you know, more serious and less adult like.

I have to disagree with most people disliking new Star Wars stuff thats come out. For instance, the Clone Wars series is pretty decent, if you ignore the movie that was released prior to the series. Episode II and III were ok standalone. However, I found that the movies are more interesting if you read the novels first. The movies seemed rushed and thats why the novels add to it. The Phantom Menace was cool when it came out... But it is generally a let down. I like the political aspect and things going on behind the scenes. But Jar Jar, Young Anakin... there were things that were just wrong with it. On the other hand, it did have Darth Maul.

As for games... I love the Star Wars games. Most of them anyway. The Jedi Knight Series and KOTOR series are awesome. Rebellion was great. Empire at war was pretty amazing as well. So I have to disagree with people saying that Star Wars was a let down since 1983 :D

I agree with Joseph, I've liked a lot of the Star Wars releases since 1983 - although I have to admit that of what I haven't liked, I've really detested some of it (Phantom Menace, that appalling Clone Wars movie) - but the games, especially the ones already mentions, have mostly been very good.

Anyway... I thought SW: Detours looked funny... maybe that says more about me than Star Wars merchandising?!?!  :-\

Ah, Star Wars is a good film, but it makes too much money for its own good! :-\ I'm sure we'd all have been happy if they just made a point-and-click adventure game for the original trilogy though.

As I've read, I think this is supposed to be aimed at kids, but it has a lot of adult humour in it, so I'm not sure if it'll find an audience.
I like Robot chicken, sometimes it can be just a tad too juvenile, but otherwise it is a really funny show.

OMG!!!  THEY TOOK SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T (SHOULDN'T) HAVE HIP-HOP IN IT AND PUT HIP-HOP IN IT!!

How incredibly original.

I liked the over all humor/jokes but I want to make a world-wide plea to ANY body that makes movies/skits/entertainment:

NEW RULES:
1) STOP putting hip-hop into things that don't (shouldn't) have it just to make it seem "funny" ... it was funny 15 years ago for about 2 months, now it is just rotten ugnaught flesh.
2) STOP putting non-actors (musicians/athletes) into things that require, you know, acting.  They suck, and will ruin it.
3) STOP making old people say "shocking" things (or speaking "urban") again, as with #1 above, it was funny about 10 years ago for about 3 months now it's dried up and moldy bantha poodoo.
4) STOP coming up with an idea that you think is great and just dropping it in without considering how lame it might actually be.

k, thanks.

Eric

For the most part, I agree with #1 and #3, but I'd exclude Chris Cooper's appearance in The Muppets from this plea.

Intense Degree

I mostly agree the new rules but strongly dispute 1 and 4 (3? 4?) were funny 10 or 15 years ago.
