Actually, I've been spending less time on the forums.

I'm not too sure what the reason is.

Hmmmm....

I just can't put my finger on it!

Probably the total lack of senselessness in your real life is what draws you ;)

I second what DGMacphee said. I don't think the forums have changed that much or anything. I don't know if I'm just growing out of it or just temporarily not interested in anything computer related. Maybe it's the summer...

I'm on the forum nearly all the time I'm online... all the time I'm online doing nothing important, actually. My usage of AGS has been quite little lately... don't know why, maybe just lack of motivation...

He he, TK, looks like you're getting to your Golden Age of knowing agsforums.

The GA is mostly made by using agsforums even when you have no need for them. Game production is minimal or none. If you haven't got a game, you usually think to yourself that you should make it, and sometimes you have some scraps for it. You have a feeling that you can just be idle on the forums and look to the intro screen and refresh every 3 minutes.
Usually the first thing where you go on the net is agsforums.

I now am in the Declining stagnation part.

The DS part is determined by:
The affection for the forums is declining, you are starting to realise that there are other things other than agsforums, and that agsforums arent worth THAT much time from you, tho you've known that deep (or not so deep) inside you all along. This switch comes subconciously(sp) with step by step changes (you maybe think of making a game for real), or even Direct switch sometimes.

Of course there are exceptions that confirm the rules. And in the DS part can always partially be mixed with brief moments of the GA (meaning: lazyness).

Correct me if I'm wrong. ;)

Now that summer is coming I've been here less than usual. Spending time with my friends... and playing RCT 2!

I don't think you quite got the subtle message DG was conveying with his post.
I second what DG meant.

I'm on my PC from 4pm to 10pm. Sometimes more then those six hours. I'm on the forums whenever I'm not busy doing something else. Now that school its out, I'll have more time to work on my games. I also printed off a bunch of Loomis' books for some light reading and browsing. Drawing a day starts now. ;)

I think im in what Czar is refering to as the Golden Age. Yes I'm on here everyday, and the first page I go to is the forums. I think its because I recently got my own computer and broadband, so i'm just always on the computer. I spend time on other forums, but not nearly as much as the ags ones. Oh well, I know I should be working on a game, but I''ve got uni to think about so I say that I don't have time, yet I'm still here on the forums... oh well.

Hmm, and  I didnt get what DG said... anyone want to explain?

I don't have the AGS forums as my homepage... I have Dima's homepage. I do have a shortcut to the AGS forums though....

I quite a bit of time on these forums, but I don't tend to post very often, due to lack of anything decent to reply to mainly.

But I do use the internet alot. It's good cause it saves me from going out and spending money i don';t need to spend.

There is the active warzone that has been there ever since the war "ended" though, isn't there?

Technichally, yes. But he said "war". Not "warzone".

Is this Karl person a wind up from another member with a fake account?

Also..  to the actual thread:
I kinda have periods where I'll be on the forums for hours every day, shortly followed by a few weeks of no contact with it.  This used to be because I only had a net connection at my parents' house.  Now that I have broadband, I've pretty much been on everyday for two months.

I had to do my band's website, and it's been a useful break in between trying to figure html/php and getting a b*ll*cking from my perfectionist guitarist for not doing the site exactly how he wants it.

Now that that's pretty much up, I can work on a game.  Where the forums will provide a useful break from trying to figure out how to use ags and getting a b*ll*cking from my perfectionist guitarist for not updating the site as regular as he wants.

It's either the forums or I start sniffing glue again.
