Hi.

I always thought that the AGS community is filled with talent, so I thought, why not ask here as well? :)

I'm looking for people to take a midi file, a finale file, the score in PDF, instructions and some other goodies, and create their own performance of that score.

The score is 13 pages, and around 11 minutes long.

This is part of my PhD portfolio and your help is greatly needed!

The project is unpaid and it is non commercial (no money for me either). I can't pay you, but I have agreed with Mordatt (www.pianoteq.com) to offer 1 (one) free license to one person, after a draw. So there could be something for you.

Catch? No catch really, but two sensetive points:

1. The music is rather advanced, and you probably need to be able to read a score (although with the midi file, you could go your own way I guess :-\). Either way it is not a 'simple song' (no disrespect to simple songs, I love them)
2. You will need to use pianoteq 2.3. Mordatt (www.pianoteq.com), has a trial version which runs for 45 days, with very few limitations, which should be fine to work with if you don't have pianoteq (chances are you don't I guess). This is due to my need to combine different performances from different persons, which would make the whole project useless was for each one to use different samples. Plus pianoteq is one of the very few which has all the different characteristics I need (the Garritan Steinway would be the other choice, but there is no trial version there, nor for Galaxy II).

If you are interested to help out, please PM me or e-mail me at mail *AT* nikolas-sideris *DOT* com.

Anything you need to ask just post here, or contact me.

I cannot share any files in public apart from this short excerpt of the music: www.nikolas-sideris.com/CUDE/CUDE_showreel.mp3 (<-meddley, around 2 MB)

Thanks for reading this and huge thanks if you decide to go ahead and try to help me!

If 9 months is a "bit late" for you, I wonder what really late is in your books. :P

Ooh it's a bit like YouTube orchestra only it's AGS orchestra. And yes nine months late as IndieBoy states :p How did it go Nikolas?

Yikes! :O!

Well...

I got 8 performers in total. Eldkatt and Geofkhann volunteered from AGS, neither of them finished it! ;D Others from other forums did (for which I'm thankful).

The whole idea revolves around making a "normal" (rather advanced aesthetically though). I still have to beta test the software and make final adjustments as well as preparing all material for the submition of my PhD. Lots of things to do...
