We know what you look like, thanks the the Post Your Photo thread. We know why you call yourself... whatever you call yourself, thanks to the Explain Your Forum Name thread. We even know what games you've made, and are about to make, thanks to... well, a lot of threads.
But, seriously, who cares? Wouldn't it be much cooler to know WHERE you make them?
So here it is, our very own Post your Workspace thread! I wonder how the forums have mangaged all those years without one ;D
I'll start, to make you feel at home here ;)
1 ) Here I take pixels and make them jump through loops and beg for treads. Then, I call them pixel art.
2 ) If you take this, shake it a little and collect the stuff that falls out, you can roll yourself at least three cigarettes.
3 ) Sh*tty wireless modem, making my visits to Stickam a constant come-and-go.
4 ) Useful for staying awake a little longer.
5 ) Precious old games, collections of DITA backups, and at least one disk full of pRon.
6 ) Here I draw. Then my cat sleeps on the sketches.
7 ) Inks and stuff.
8 ) Paper. Lots of that. I sometimes sit down and... fondle it.
Ah cool, this was actually done before, sorry to burst your bubble..
But my desktop has changed quite a bit since then anyway so I'll put a new photo up on this here thread soon. Ish.
Nope, not desktops- more like, the actual room where you have your desktop. I checked, and I think the only thing we didn't have actual threads about are this one and radioactive underwear.
Oh okay well whatever, just seems a lot like this:

(Scroll to bottom)
But it was cool anyway.. :)
Hey, I found one old thread - and in 2004, it wasn't so overdue: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=15993.0
Still, high time for an update on that, I just read somebody rejoicing "new hardware, 20GB hard drive, yay!"...
Well, here is what was left out from the cup picture over at the long overdue blue cup thread.
My vintage IBM Thinkcentre with brand new Hyundai screen, some microphones, my Korg K49, supported by a Magnus sine wave organ. My chair just broke, I am sitting on plastic and metal at the moment. The quite impressive oak table was snatched from a local bank when they refurbished their offices.
The guitar sucks. The bass drum pedal does too. The massive Thorens record player is basically alright, but I stepped on the power cable and ripped it out.
The little green and red things left of my keyboard are monopoly houses and hotels. I have a lamp that looks like a church, but my girlfriend thought it was not a very good joke and ugly on top of it so I had to take it out of the living room. The leather gloves sitting on the "Washington Capitals" shirt are property of the German Railroad. In the middle of the green shelf you can spot three cardboard boxes, containing 1/6th of the total unsold CDs of my band.
There is also a copy of "The colonel's bequest" by Sierra in this shelf, sadly on 5 1/4" disks. The lock on my desk is broken and it contains 100 Euro cash at the moment, you can rob me if you like.
Is that a Robocop Kraus poster? Awesome band.

Wow, the one detail I forgot to mention. Yes, it is. I basically grew up with the Robocop Kraus, they played Nürnberg (which is where I come from) heavily before their big breakthrough. Also, they showed up at our conert some months ago and afterwards said they thought we did not suck completely, just a little. They are nice guys.
Here is my home office (for web design, graphic design, and game design):
1. Please don't mind the mess. We're using my office as a temporary storage area while we switch some rooms around.
2. My extensive collection of Star Trek novels and books. This is about 10% of my entire collection. :P
3. Pictures of (1) my wife when she was in high school and quite hot, and (2) me and my wife during her first pregnancy. I'm holding her belly, but it isn't visible. Also, between them is my own blue cup... albeit plastic and sans handle. ;)
4. My laptop, which I got for free on one of those sites. With the AGS forum open, of course.
5. Cheap little speakers that came free with a $30 2GB MP3 player. They work very well. And of course my little guy keeps me company.
6. My 320 GB external hard drive, and the cordless phone, which just happened to be there.
7. Again, please, don't mind the utter destruction and chaos that litters the floor beside my workspace.
8. Being right-handed, I need my mouse and my tablet on the same side, so I use an open drawer and put my tablet on top of my high school yearbook. :D It works quite well.
9. And, of course, the stylus for the tablet, in its own little holder. While cheap, my tablet works great and is awesome.
That's it! There are a few pen-holders that were gifts from relatives in the Azores, as well as an Initech mug. ;) And I keep blank CDs and DVD+Rs behind the laptop. And that's a microphone sticking out of my pen cup, although it's being blocked by the black line. :P
Now that's one comfy-looking chair!
It is, now that I've broken it in. ;D
Here's my workspace in Dec 2006:

And how it is now:

Further back angle showing off my guitars:

Yes, that is a peg holding the dodgy Amp's headphone adaptor that's plugged in.
The office chair: (non-leather)
Nice chair. I need mine to have armrests, as I get too lazy to lift up my own arms sometimes. And Enterprise DVDs!!! ;D
And that ergonomic mouse looks suspiciously like a joystick. ;)

Sadly that's how it died, certain heavy handed people kept trying to move the stick like a joystick, but it doesn't move. So it was broken in two. Grr.
Yes your chair looks like it is from the set of Enterprise!
@Kaputtnik
I absolutely love the Colonels Bequest (and it's stupid fingerprint copy protection). Although the sequel wasn't half as good.
@dkh
What a nice amp, I play an engl myself but just a lousy 1x12 compact amp.
Lot's of people seem to be guitar players here btw.
Maybe I post a picture here myself, but all my cool stuff is not around the computer ;D
The incredible mess that is Babar:
That really isn't an incredible mess.
I guess not, compared to some of the other pictures here :D
But then again, the PC is in public territory, as opposed to my own room. When the "Post your room" thread comes up, YOU SHALL SEE!

It used to be full of broken computer junk but we got rid of most of it yesterday.
Gotta love the newspaper mousepad. ;D
Pablo you're a true AGSER ;D
Cool thread.
Here's my workspace in my student accomms.
1. Cold cup of tea
2. a) punk compilation CD and b) Smashing Pumpkins, Zeitgeist
3. FREE webcam couresy of those lovely generous folks at Natwest for being a student
4. Laptop... Cheapest one they had in PC World
5. Tempramental radiator (good name for a band?)
6. Washbasin... or as I like to call it... en suite :D
7. Printer/scanner... cheap Argos deal... although I had to buy a separate USB lead... what's that all about?
8. Cheap schoolchair made slightly more bearable by the slab of sponge glued to it.
Oh man, Pablo, I thought I was the only person in the whole world who had his PSU sitting outside the PC case. I am surprised to learn that I am wrong :=

My workstation is my car ;D
Does the steering wheel come out of the glove box? :P
I really should visit Australia/England (the two places I really want to travel that drive on the opposite side of how I drive), and rent a car. Especially a standard! That would be interesting.
BTW, why is your car your work space?
I still can't imagine driving on the left side of the road, having everything inside my car switched around. I'm so used to doing everything with my right hand.
Also, I'm getting a desktop computer (top of the line) very soon, so expect a new WORKSPACE pic soon!

it's probably just an excuse to show off his new car :=

Yeah, I definitely thought
'Hey, where's his steering wheel?' If you come to Stickens, you can try that.....
