Haha, I love the Yesmen. Did you hear of their newest prank, the fake New York Times issue?

The only impossible fact missing from that is: "US elects first black president"

Akatosh

Heh... that even made it into German news.

/EDIT: The fake newspaper, I mean. The black guy, too, but that's a little less surprising, considering how Europe is basically one huge Obama fanclub.

The black guy, too

Oh yeah, I think they once mentioned him somewhere.

Evil

This reminds me of some of the work by the group Eye Beam. Steve Lambert came up with this idea for "Shopdropping" and did a workshop a few weeks ago at my university.

I'm not a huge fan of guerilla art or advertising, but the creativity and motivation of some of these groups is unbelievable.

Evil, The Yesmen did that too in the 90s I think, though they called it Shop Putting

They took the voice boxes out of Barbie dolls and GI Joe and swapped them so that Barbie would talk about war and GI Joe would talk about shopping.
"This must be a good time to live in, since Eric bothers to stay here at all"-CJ also: ACHTUNG FRANZ!

Layabout

Me and Francisco met one of the distributors of the fake NY Times. Pretty impressive stuff, we got a couple of copies of it. It's a really great read, and there was loads of work put into the articles.
I am Jean-Pierre.

This is probably my favorite bit of culture jamming ever.
