The Meaning of Life is to die.

I've heard quite a share of depressed teens stating the exact same thing already. ::)
You can't solve the meaning of life, because it is dependant on the way you think. Everyone has their own view of what their purpose is, everyone has different opinions regarding the matter. This regularly returning question can be answered merely by saying; you'll have to figure it out yourself, as only you know the purpose of your existence, be it to make the most revolutionary video game or to be a good-for-nothing criminal. As long as YOU know what it means to you, live with it and don't ask anyone else to confirm your statement.

By the way.    I found a christian who has ALL the answers.   This is why people become atheists.

Ok, so that guy says god is everywhere?(and seems pretty excited about it at 0:18)

This guy doesn't agree(3:23) - note the patronising look on his face while he shakes his head and says "no" at 3:35 and 3:47

The rest of the vid is pretty much standard "atheists are stubborn and in denial" bullshit. Just to respond to the video description:

"What is the reason Atheists are so energetic to debate God's existence? It seems like a big waste of time for a true atheist"

Again, it seems like by "true atheist" he means "strong atheist". It is indeed pointless to debate something if you have already made up your mind and are not going to change it. But there is also the kind of atheist who made an assumption based on experience but is not a 100% sure. They debate to find out whether their arguments are bulletproof. If they are not, they get abandoned. It's not about stubbornly forcing your current position on others. It's about reaching a position that's as close to the truth as possible, through challenging yours and the opposite sides claims in debates.

I think the meaning of Life is to LIVE.
Think about it, this dance of complexity we call life lasts just the tinest drop in the cosmic span. But for that brief and oh so preshous less-then- moment, never to be repeted in the hisory of the cosmos, we...are ALIVE. We live,  we breathe,  we make war, and we love. And not only that, but we can know ourselvs and the universe and say Hey I am Alive, hear me Roar!We are ALIVE, that's right be proud of it! We are who we ARE! We are not all good nor all bad, we are, LIVING LOVING KNOWING BALLS OF LIFE and that is the meaning of life,  LIFE IS MEANT TO LIVE! for less then the blink of the universe, you are something totally unique and unimaginable and will never exist again. but for this time, you, are, ALIVE!

No, that's the Purpose of Life. The Meaning of Life is, essentially, death. But, the Meaning of Death is to value life.
Valuing life is the Purpose, it's the whole driving force behind why we get up everyday. And that value is drawn by both matterial and immaterial things (such as success, money, love, sex, happiness)
In any case, it's what I believe it all boils down to.

I would say the purpose of life is to breed, personally.

Having done the whole breeding thing, I would say that the purpose of life is to eat peanut butter sandwiches.

My current purpose in life is to write this post. After that I think it will be to eat some ice cream. On a larger scale, I need to get my college degree, and on an even larger one, attain personal happiness and satisfaction.

Purpose with a capital P is simply an extension of those purposes to an absolute (or infinite, if you prefer) ideal. But absolutes (infinity) can't exist in a material, measurable universe.

At least, that's how I view it. But I've been known to spout a lot of pseudo-philosophical bullshit in my time...

I dunno about the meaning of your life, but the meaning of my life is to become a game designer, possibly start my own company at some point in the future, marry my wonderful boyfriend and maybe start having children at about 30 plus, have a nice house and some cats and dogs and maybe a horse if we have enough land.

To live is to die, to have died you must once have lived. A rock may be dead, but it has never died. ( except limestone and coal and other such 'rocks')Am I really confusing the porpose of life with its meaning? Wikipedia:
QuoteWhen the question "What is the meaning of life?" is asked, one of a variety of questions may be implied, such as: "What is the nature of life (and of the universe in which we live)?","What is the significance of life"What is the purpose of, or in, (one's) life?", and "What is valuable in life?"
1.I admit what said doesnt quite explain this aspect but...2.I think lifes significance is the very fact that it IS alive, whatever alive may be, life is just such a rare and wonderful thing 3. Life's purpose, to me, is to live. 'Nuff said. 4. I think the most valuable thing in life is to live. I think those who closter themselves off from the world in an attempt to understand life, are as foolish as man who blots out his eyes in attempt to find out more about sight. Live your life we are of this world and part of it and again alive, its wonderful bittersweet, thing to be alive, but despite all the heartace and trouble, I am so glad to be alive, it is quite an honour to be an "I"
