Post by: Gravity on Mon 26/04/2004 08:24:37
Some of you may have already heard about this game, which is being developed for all platforms including the PC.

Goto http://www.themoviesgame.com/home.html and check it out. This is one game I am actualy looking forward to.
Finaly I will be able to make a few of my favorite ags games into movies! :D

I'm really looking forward to it. It'd be extremely awesome if you can do almost anything you want, and create actors/characters/directors/producers and such. And of course, if they don't include an export feature so you can distribute them, then they are insane. :)

I am afraid it will be very limited in terms of moviemaking. But if it's not, well then I'll create "Lord of the Rings vs. X-Men", the latest, biggest and best epic production!

Hmm, this looks more like The Sims, but with Hollywood. They don't give much information about the game itself.

Am I the only one that's known about this for 2 years?

I can't wait!

This looks pretty good, but I wonder how much control you have over the creative side of the movie making process.  Do you get to hear the lines read?  Do you get to see it as you would on a movie screen after it is done?  How much control do you have over the story?

No.

The concept seems very good, but whether or not a good game comes out of it remains to be seen...

I've been following it for a while as well. Seems like they can pull it off, but I guess we shall never know until it is finally released.

Raggit - all movies are saved on your hard-disk as MPEG files. Later, you can add voice to your movies, and the developers are even promising lip-sync for the dubbing. According to what they say, you can create your own story.

Kind of like "Cartooners" on speed.

Or on less speed.

Or something.
