A couple of friend and I were sitting descussing what the value of money is to them. We came up with alot of interestng theories it was quite interesting. To break it down we said whats the value of 10 bucks to you anyway.
It was interesting cause 10 bucks here is virtually nothing and gets spent without a second thought.
So I pose the question to you whats the value of 10 bucks to you? And what do you waste it on etc.
Australian, Canadian or US of A? ;D
to me its worth, (in canadian) one meal from my mom, one set of clothes from the thrift store and one uber ancient computer game. soo... food, clothes and fun. not bad for ten bucks.
A cheap hooker if i look hard enough. :)
A 1/3 a tank of gas.
if i had £10 right now i'd probably find myself an original copy of Worms United (the SoldOut version, like all their other releases, has been raped: the Ocean intro movie and scenario are missing as is the commercial video) on ebay or maybe see if i can get a good VHS copy of the movie Hawks (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097487/) as it's never likely to be released on dvd (warner have now deleted it from their catalogue) although i really doubt i'd get it for under a tenner, failing that i'd take a look on play.com to see what movies they have on offer.
Ten bucks is going out to dinner at the pub.
Yum.
Oh man... A tenner would be awesome to have. It's been ages since I had so much money. I'd buy a nice meal and a some lemonade.
Although, to me, $10 would also be something that would normally be spent without a thought, it's feels like a lot of money to me at the moment, because I'm beyond broke.
10 bucks is my daily food budget. If I had an extra ten bucks to spend on food today, I would be a very, very happy man.
my daily food budget right now is about... 80p a day, perhaps not even that much...
You live on porridge?
Bread: 40p
Rump Steak for two: 3 GBP
Ceasar Salad ready made: 1.50 GBP
Baby milk for a week: 5.96 GBP
There you go... A little more than 10 GBP and much mroe than 10$, but still enough for a whole fmaily to live hapily for a day!
Six beers and 20 fags from my local off-license.
£9.15.

i live mostly on cereal and noodles, which cost 8p a packet.
10 bucks? this sounds like a Kebab and a packet of bubblegum... and a pen sharpener.
That or some 2 bottles imported Slovakian ale.
* A taxi ride to work (= 15 minutes of more sleep!)
OR
* 2 lunch breaks at work (or one with energy drinks and chocolate)
OR
* 3-BIG-packs-of-Lay's-chips-and-2x2L-Coke-night (plus FREE stomach ache)
OR
* a bottle of nice, strong Estonian vodka
OR
* cellphone credit for a month or two (depends on how much i call out)
OR
* 1/2 of monthly internet payment
OR
* 5 bottles of extremely cheap wine (plus FREE poisoning, puking and blackout)
OR
* 4 months of server payment
OR
* 40 packs of cigarettes (pirates, with russian tax marks)
OR
* 7 packs of legal cigarettes (never buy them)
OR
* 9 litres of gas (though I don't have a car yet)
....huh

Tesco value or safeway bettabuy?
And do you find you end up just like, eating them... without any water?
Weekday:
3 1/2 gallons of petrol (or driving to and from work each day).
Weekend:
A vodka sour/gratuity to nurse for an hour at a local jazz club.
Or, more wisely, I could grab a gallon of milk, loaf of bread, and a quarter pound of cheese.
LoL this thread makes me laugh with every entry almost.

LoL
Its sounds so nice when you can get all these things for only 10 bucks!
Geez for ten bucks I can get well ummm...
A two lt coke... if i am lucky and do not go to the seven eleven. there like 12 bucks for a 2lt coke
I loaf of bread and some change no milk.
Milk some change no bread... ditto
For the longest time I compared everything to the price of buying a Sega Megadrive. Like after grocery shopping: "You could have bought a whole Sega with that money!" or after lunch "That cost half a Sega!".
$10 bucks could buy me a third of a Sega. Or 60 internet hours. Or 100 cups of tea.

Ah tea... who doesn't love a good cuppa?

right now i'm just eating Morrison's and Farm Foods own brands (sadly not the Ko-Lee ones they used to sell). i've never tried eating them without water though...
For some reason, when I read the title of this thread, this was what came to mind:
Must have been too much of that lager at Brittens...
Aus $10
1 packet of cigarettes (less than 1 pack from a servo or vending machine)
or
2.5 local beers at local pub
or
between 8-9 Litres of unleaded petrol
or
a Banana since Larry wiped out most of the nations crops
To me $10 is not much
nb currently:
AUD$10 = USD$7.19 = CAD$8.38 = EURâ,¬5.96 = GBP£4.12
GBP£10 = AUD$24.26 = USD$17.44 = CAD$20.34 = EURâ,¬14.45

Hahaha..I definitely don't care for a cuppa. It was just an example. But yeah, milk, sugar etc. included. Another example I guess would be a month's worth of good lunches for 1 person.
This thread reminds me of a mastercard advertisment. All you need lesft is:
-a night out with your friends: priceless ;D
My 10$=9.5 euros are:
-my monthly allowance :P:)
