Nothing, because I mixed up the 4th of July with April Fools and thought it was on April 4th....you know, "four" and "fools" kind of sound alike...look I don't have street smarts only book smarts...leave me alone...you don't understand me!

well, ill take this a different way...

i'm usually good at watching out on april fools day for pranks online. also my school newspapers are always putting out joke newspapers, and ive been known to put out my own joke on the web.

anyways, a week ago, several days after april fools, i pick up a different college newspaper at Loyola, as ScubaChic is playing volleyball against them... and begin to read between matches. The lead article is about how this guy met up with the creator of a TV show on over here in the US, The O.C., and how he convinced the creator to come do a show over at the college, and that they would be holding open casting... blah blah blah.. well, i fell for it.

Another article was about that they were having Martha Stewart speak at their graduation.

See, this newspaper gave news that was very subtle in their foolish pranks. My schools front story was "President Bush declares love for Dick Cheney", and the picture along with it had them in arms, and holding butt plugs in their open hands.

Soo, yeah, for the first time in years, I was finally fooled. On page 6, they said "Oh, by the way, in case you didn't notice, this is our April Fools edition"...

I would have noticed, if it was actually given to me on April Fools, not a week later.

I made a huge, life changing announcement to my family and friends on April 1st.

A completely factual huge, life changing announcement.

Then I let them pound their heads and squirm trying to figure out if it was true or not.

What was that?

As for me, I didn't do anything.

A friend of mine has just gone to Australia to live for a year, leaving April 1st. All day I was half expecting him to call round and announce that the whole thing (quiting his job, months of anticipation, visa, etc) was an elaborate April Fools prank but, unless his parents are in on it, he has actually gone.

I told my mom her cat died. She wasn't too happy though, hehe.

Hmmm... Some of those are pretty good.  The cat one... well, that's just mean.  never joke about someone or something dying or getting hurt.  I've had that "joke" played on me, and it wasn't funny, even when I found out it was a joke.

Anyway, I didn't play any pranks, but I thought I would share what a local radio station did... they made an annoucement that if you go to 16th and Idaho street, the first 98 people there would get free gas.  I didn't go, because ...one, I had to work for another half an hour, and two, I gave it some thought, and realized... there is no gas station at 16th and idaho.

Monday morning, they annouced on the radio that the free "gas" they had given away was free chili.   :D

Hah, that's what I told my mom and significant other, too. And when I told Nate that I was pregnant with another guy's baby, he wasn't too pleased at all and hung up his cell immediately. And he wouldn't answer my calls for over five minutes.

I think he's still a bit pissed off, but oh wells. ^_^ I'm glad my April Fools joke worked.

I've never really been good at "april fooling". My jokes never work :P. Oh well, next year I have to find some website that has April fool jokes that actually work!
