Today in the afternoon not you because the topic arose i was talking with my wife about the first video cassette that we had (VHS). Do they remember of which his was and which the first movie that saw in the one ?

I remember mine it was (Good really of my dad) of the mark Quasar and the first movie was a premiere TRON. for the year 1983

BOYD1981

well, when i was a kid i had a lot of videos of cartoons and such, but the first video i got that actually really meant something to me was Blade Runner (original, not director's cut), which i got quite a few years ago and is now a bit worn, but i never buy them now, i prefer DVDs...

Limey Lizard, Waste Wizard!

Darth Mandarb

I can honestly say that I haven't bought a VHS tape in almost 8 years!!  Wow, has it been that long?  Jeeze ...

My first VHS, I believe, was Star Wars.

I can't remember if it was the first that I actually got, but it's the first I remember.

I wish I still had it ... by the end of it's life-cycle it was unwatchable.  We (brothers and I) stopped counting after 300+ viewings!  It was a daily ritual to come home from school and watch it 2 times.

Timosity

I can't remember but I remember the first movie I taped, BMX Bandits

Las

It's a pity the  career of the star of BMX Bandits could only go downhill from there.

Squinky

Police academy or robo-cop.....

Please allow me to take the long way around.

I remember, we didn't ahve a vcr when I was little, we had one of those things that played those frigging huge disks that you flipped half-way through viewing. When we did get a vcr, my parents dubbed every movie we had on disk onto tape, and any new movies we had were dubbed from tapes my parents rented.

Trying to think what our oldest purchased vhs was... I'd say Spacehunter or the Smothers Brothers yo-yo instruction tape.

Blade

Can't ay what was first... Surely one of the first movies I watched on vcr (but had none myself) was Indiana Jones - probably Raiders of The Lost Ark
Studies show that 50% of the people do not know they form half of the society.

Takkar Tekekak

My parent's had a VCR before I was born but the first VHS given to ME was a Thomas The Tank Engine episode compilation(?) i used to watch all the episodes over and over, and still get suprised when the treacle fell on thomas before the fair!
I may not be sane, but at least i'm not a penguin!
