Yar, I barely remembered about TLAPD. I was a'thinking yesterday, "When be that darn Talk Like A Pirate Day? Did I miss it?"

I will only join in when it is "Talk like an Ass-Pirate" Day.

I knew about this but it has very little point in Japan. I'd go, `Arrr shiver me timbers!` and everyone'd have their dictionaries out wondering why I want them to shake a piece of wood.

I might explain this to my adult class later on tonight though. I'll teach them some pirate phrases

Has anyone here noticed how "talking like a pirate" is usually just
"Arr.  Anyway, the cheese smels bad."
