I think we can all agree that Thor is f'ng awesome.
What aboot that indian goddess with 6 arms, all of them carrying a sword. Now that's f'ing awesome!
Thor might HAVE a hammer indeed, but Chuck Norris INVENTED hammers.
Thor gave him the idea, so that he wouldn't have to make one himself.
Thor bangs the indian godess every tuesday.
It's sooooooo awesome and powerful to put down other people's beliefs!!
I know it sure makes me feel better!!
I'm going to get this thread reported to CJ. I'm a christian. You shouldn't put down others beliefs.
If you're a christian then forgive us.
Okay.
oh fucking hell, the last thing this forum needs is another damn religious debate.
just because you're an atheist doesn't mean you have to be a prick about other beliefs.
really, a section on religion should be added to the forum signup quiz, or be an addition to the 'Three golden rules' here in gengen.

[no sarcasm]Me too![/nod]
Motivational poster rocks, btw.
Does christianity disapprove humor?
Politically-correct-to-a-point-of-no-sense nazi watchdogs are what makes reg-debates so awful in this forum.
So let's not.
Does it come as any surprise that someone who intentionally places their religious stance in their username would start a topic like this?

actually it's the fact that religious debates are both pointless and can never be carried out in a civilised or mature manner without people just quoting stuff they've read on wikipedia.
Athena.
Ath
Eee
Nah.
Dig?
I always find people who are so forceful with atheism confusing. It's like people who wear those celibacy rings, forcing the thing they least believe in, into people's faces:
"i'm not having SEX. look you can see i'm not having SEX. this ring shows everyone how much i'm not having SEX. SEX"
or
"i don't believe in GOD. i need everyone to know i don't believe in GOD. GOD GOD GOD"
if it's your belief, shush., it's YOURS.
(the above analogy is mildly stolen)
The next person THE VERY NEXT PERSON who puts down another person's beliefs is going in a time out!
Now, put your play blocks away and after nap time we'll have juice and animal crackers.
Going in Time Out? The game Eric?!?!
Your belief is that you're a time traveller isn't it. Time Travellers suck balls, because they'll like destroy the world and stuff and get eaten by dinosaurs!!!!!!
PUT DOWN!!!
Something becomes a religion when multiple people follow it in a more or less organised manner, or about so. And all religion is stupid, so is debating about it. Ofcource you can debate facts, but "god 1 is better than god 2 because..." is no fact in any case. A fact would be if Anubis has been pictured to have a head of an eagle or not, since there's historic evidence to back up or prove wrong any claims on that.* On that thought, what do current western religions have to offer on that? A piece of text someone's written a few years back. Nice facts you got there to start with. So it's really pointless to start any of this, as Boyd already said.
* which actually is not about religion either, but it's as close as you can get and still have an online conversation with any hope of decency.
Hang on, he's an athiest but believes in telekenesis?
Being an atheist just means you want to deny the christian god's existance, or so I've understood from all the different versions out there. Telekinesis has nothing to do with him.
Athiest means you believe there's no god of any sort. Most atheists I have encountered deny any kind of metaphysics so it seems unusual...
To me it seems atheists are mostly christian tho... Not that I know horribly many. Anyway, I just haven't come across atheists denying metaphysics or such.
Let's just take a big break from religious controversies altogether shall we
