Hope for Haiti.

Hey all,
I've seen numerous topics around here recently, but I have yet to see any specific topics relating to Haiti.
Well, the current situation there now is still of concern, and the whole world now is extending its help to this battered country. It is unbelievable to me (i.e. in my opinion,) that while people are out there suffering, the rest of the world is clearly divided into 3 categories: The ones who want to help, the ones who don't want to help and the ones who can't bother about Haiti at all.

No, I'm no 'humanist' nor am I Mother Theresa incarnate, but Haiti needs help now and it needs help fast. Of course, we can all do our part to help the people there. Be it a donation, a stand or even a heartfelt plea to God for Haiti's restoration would be helpful. I just hope that this topic stirs most of you up to take a stand and help make a difference in Haiti.

While I type this now, MTV is hosting the Hope for Haiti concert. Well, you could take a look at the channel now if you had it. Artistes of different genres and cultural backgrounds have taken time off to sing their hearts out and raise money for Haiti. Even the people who work for fame have stepped out to do their part in this tragedy.

Well, that's basically all I have to say. Below, I have copied down certain links which might shed light on Haiti and also other sites which might well be channels to the good that can be spread to Haiti. Take a little time off from your scripting, from your story-writing and artwork, pause that game-in-production for a few minutes, and give some Hope to Haiti.

From what I heard, without trying to discourage anyone, is that the problem is not that aid is not going to Haiti, but that it's impossible to handle it there. One airway which used to handle 13 planes a day, now called to handle around 200! One main road, etc...

What I'm more afraid is that we're waiting for an earthquake, to completely erase a devanstated country from the world, to act and help.

Yes, we all know that there are problems here and there. In fact, every time some disaster like this happens, there will bound to be certain problems the receivers and givers of aid will face (corruption, lack of transportation, geographical issues etc.).
That is surely a debatable point. However, would you rather try your best to give aid and save lives, rather than wait for more airports to be opened up? I am sure aid workers will be able to find their way into the heart of the earthquake. Too much is never an issue in aid. Too little is.
