Here's my tragic story:

When I was way younger and before I got my own email account, I had to put up with all my mom's middle aged Christian women-friends crapping loads of brighten-your-day messages and tragic stories into our inbox overflowing with cutesy smiley animations and cheap MIDI music.

Ooh, that makes me think of another one:

There was this little boy who lived way out in the country and it was the middle of the hot summer and there wasn't much water.  Oneday, his mother looked out to see him pumping water into his cupped hands, only to wander off into the woods.  Then he'd come back and do it all over again. 

The mother followed the boy into the woods, intending to scold him for his reckless use of the precious water, but then she saw him bend down to a young baby deer to let it lap the water out of his cupped hands. 

Mother approached the little boy, and he looked up at her with tears in his eyes and said, "I'm not wasting it, mommy."

Then mommy took out a shotgun and splattered the baby deer all over the forest and replied, "You're right about that."
