What is this TXT-style spelling that I keep seeing automatically removed from peoples' postings?

(edit: typo)

Never happened to me. If you shorten your words too much. Like: "Where are you from?", only with just letters. Damnit. I can't make an example of TXT spelling. it automatically edits it. It's kind of an anti-teen/moron filter. It means you should write in proper english

Acronyms are all right, but contractions aren't.
t.h.n.x , n.e.1 , "r" and "u" will be changed though.

Well... you were supposed to ignore that post, didn't you read it?

But first I laughed out loud for some reason, then I said "What the f***? Thanks, as far as I know your mileage may vary, if I recall correctly, for your information, 'use the source Luke', in search of anyone people".

Come on....

How long you been on this forum?  If long enough, you should know by now, if you put "Ignore this post!" as a header, someone is bound to read it and post "W00T!", and then someone will post, "Lockie lockie"...

It's like on Looney Tunes when Bugs Bunny tells Daffy Duck, "DON'T PUSH THE RED BUTTON MARKED 'SELF DESTRUCT'!"...

Each time someone's post gets automatically edited for TXT spelling, a hidden count gets incremented in their profile. If someone's count reaches a certain level, they get visited by the Proper English Squad and taken off for retraining; if that fails, dismissal from the forums follows.

Does that squad look for people who makes typos and/or grammatical mistakes too?  :-[
Are you guys ready? Let' s roll!

Pumaman

No, the Squad only goes after native English speakers who are too lazy to write properly.  ;)

Can we see those stats, CJ? :)

I thought each time someone's post gets automatically edited for TXT spelling, an angel would get it's wings...

In that case, even castration squad would be fine with me.

This poster was not automatically "edited" for TXT-style spelling

If the Proper English Squad is uneffective, then the sunglass-weilding bald guy with the knife is deployed.  If that doesn't work, you have to watch BOYD1981 do a lap dance.

No, god kills a kitten.

Once, my post automatically got edited, and I don't even know what I did wrong. I despise TXT-style spelled. Oh well.

Bryan

Wow, my first "hot topic".  I'm feel so... err... well nothing special really.
