Title: Voice Acting (Not looking for any)
Post by: LGM on Tue 10/06/2003 04:23:42
I've really gotten into voice acting lately..

And luckily, I've found out how to get a real good sound... I think I should go into this as a little side-job.... Maybe make some money!

Whatdya think

Have a listen of a little tidbit from my vampire movie.. I'm not the one playing the character, but it's the only thing I could find to read into the mic..

Lemme know whatya think

I messed up the sampling.. So there's some hisses in the speech.... If I had of done it right, it would've sounded better

**This just in! I am now signed to play as Lieutenant Ronald Ganon & Admiral James Farrow in TerranRich's game "By the Sword: Conspiracy"

YAY...

It sounds very good -- you got lotsa potential!

If I were going to make a small criticism (cause I'm like that, ain't I?) I'd making the tone a little darker in your voice.

But it's very well acted!

Thanks, DG. That means alot.

Yeah, I suppose it could be deeper. I'll look into that.

hehe what a coincidence, our CD-ROMs are going to have some of their control instructions recorded, and two of my female colleages are going for it (since they're just instructions, not those interactive classroom bits, they don't need to be recorded by professional voice actors). They're having fun reading the script, preparing for the recording right now.

One of the instructions were to be spoken by an old man and another was to be spoken by a robots, they tried to get me into it but I refused, as I won't want to do this kind of things any more, each time I hear my own voice from our old softwares, I want to bash my head into a wall and die...

Which voices did you do in "The Case" by eVOLVE?
The voices in the demo are all pretty good quality!

I like the first one more

the second sounds too forced

even in the first one though it sounds like you are mildly nervious loosen up and just let it fly
acting is one of the most fun things to do if you can get past the people spectating

But I agree with DG the first one sounds great and I Definitly think you should persue this

Nothing for AGS games.. Unless they offer money.

I might go into it "professionaly" and look for other projects that offer money.. Like, independet FPS projects or mods and such..

It'd be fun! :p
