When does advertising become lying? Isn't in the nature of marketing and advertising to lie? Any AGSers in this field care to comment?
Damn, I clicked the wrong answer. Now I'm surely done for.
If only I'd clicked on EVIDENCE ELIMINATOR.
I like the name. It really says, "YOU NEED ME!" to Peadophiles. Also, I like how this program can magically erase years of internet records that belong to your ISP. The only explanation is magic.
The nature of advertising is to inform and influence. There are laws that stop people from lying and being deceptive, unfortunately, the online world is so new that the laws haven't caught up with it yet.
It gives me silly, happy feelings when people care enough to share the spam. I've got butterflies in my stomach... Ah, look! I've just shat a rainbow.

On the main page:
QuoteBuy protection for just $149.95 (US) that will defeat Forensic Analysis equipment costing over $7000.00(US).

Also, on one of them..

You lost your home & you still owed money on it.
Your cars were confiscated but you still owed credit you couldn't pay.
You used to have bank accounts, credit cards and savings. But all your money was confiscated.
'All my money was confiscated'? I think theres some law that saws police have to reimburse people for evidence taken, in some "constitution" or something.
EDIT: Oh yes, almost forgot, I hate stupid people.

The 5th Amendment reads:
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.Note the last line.
If it's stolen, or you owe money on taxes, they can certainly take it away, seeing as how in the case of theft it's technically not your private property, and in tax seizures you already owe the government money anyway.
But if it's your private property, as in the aforementioned:
QuoteYou lost your home & you still owed money on it.
Your cars were confiscated but you still owed credit you couldn't pay.
You used to have bank accounts, credit cards and savings. But all your money was confiscated.
They couldn't use those as evidence, and even if they could, 'just compensation' would be owed.
But, of course, that's just the constitution. The government managed to find loopholes through all that years ago. ;)
Thank you for quoting the fifth amendment, I am well aware of the rights I have that are constantly violated by an overzelous law enforcement aparatus. I'm assuming you've never been in or was close to anyone accused of a federal crime. Trust me, when they nab your shit, it's gone.

Sorta like the Patriot Act. Abused for the most wrong, stupidest reasons. Gotta love this country. :P
