Captain Blood and Monkey Island references ey?
Anyone who's seen the movie spotted any of those? Try to put your reply in a [ hide ] if necessary :).
I didn't really see any MI references... I saw references to the ride, which MI also happened to rerefence...
m0ds: I read Captain Blood as "Commander Blood" and was expecting a reference to the really weird game of that name. As it is, I expect there's a reference to the poopy old pirate book instead.
I'll keep my peeled eyes open for the MI reference when I go see it...
Oh, "Captain" Blood. Crap.
could be a coincidence, but...
Spoiler
there's that scene where Sparrow chases the monkey : Barbosa takes the medallion back and says "thanks Jack". then Sparrow answers something but it turns out they named the monkey Jack.
not sure if i made myself clear..
Captain Blood is a movie also, as far as I know.
Trap: same here.
I don't know if this constitutes being hidden but:
Spoiler
The whole undead pirate thing could have come from Monkey Island. I haven't been on Pirates of the Caribbean in a couple of years, but I recall one scene with a skeleton at the helm of a ship, and that was it for undead pirate references. I don't remember anything else, although I could be forgetting something.
